  1. I have 2 hyperx cloud 2 headsets. They both use USB. I would like to be able to plug both into my PC so I can have a podcast like set up. I know that you can get a 3.5 jack splitter for mic and audio. but I don't know if both mics and headphones will work if I use USB ( haven't ordered the second one so I can't test it) does anyone know if plugging both USB headsets into the PC will work for recording audio and outputting sound to both units?
  2. I am currently using an EVGA 400w psu, I have an EVGA 650 gold psu in my PC. Should I use that one instead? My VRM is not hot. The whole mobo is in mineral oil, which is being passively cooled. I touch the VRM and its slightly above room temp.
  3. The whole thing is submerged in mineral oil, which should be absorbing the heat. The vrm feels slightly above ambient temps..
  4. My friend and i built a subzero cooling system out of an old AC unit (inspired by Linus's "Chilling Threadripper" video. The cooling unit is functioning beautifully (subzero idle temps), so we are attempting to overclock it. We are using an FX 8350 and a Gigabyte 990fx chipset motherboard. We were stable at 4.8ghz with 1.4725V. We set the CPU Frequency to 5ghz and began gradually increasing voltage until we were stable on Aida64 for 60 minutes at 5ghz 1.525V, but cinebench crashes instantly upon clicking run. We gradually increased the voltage to 1.565 with no change in the cinebench crashes. Both me and my friend are inexperienced overclockers and have little insight into the meanings of many settings in the bios, we would appreciate any pointers or general tips on the subject of overclocking. Below are pictures of my bios settings, the desktop picture is of when we were running aida64 and it was stable, the system only crashes on cinebench.
  5. I'm doing a project where I'm super cooling a PC by using an AC unit to cool radiator coolant. I'm going pretty cheap on the pump because I won't be using it for long. What would be a good GPH. basically I'm looking at some that are as high as 300 and some that are down in the 50 range and not sure if it maters.
  6. I only payed $10 for windows incase you think my math is wrong
  7. The goal is under 350. As of right now I have already bought the ram for 49 bucks off newegg. I am getting a ryzen 2200g for $50 at micro center Friday morning, and I'm getting an EVGA 500W PSU from Microcenter for $30. All together including windows the PC will be $334. The $334 is assuming I buy the 970 for 120. If I get a rx 570 it will be right at 350.
  8. I am building a PC on a budget for a friend. I can get a used 970 from a friend that I trust for $120. I can also get a new rx 570 for $150. I will be paring it with a ryzen 2200g. (I know that's pretty cheap) Do you think the 970 will be bottlenecked because it is running with a 2200g? and if not do you think its a good deal?
  9. My friend wants me to build a cheap PC. I haven't been paying attention to the gpu market much. The pc I put together on newegg had a 1050ti in it. I'm hoping to get one on sale for black friday. Is there any AMD GPUs in the same price range that would be better?
  10. I just downloaded the newest drivers last week. Just to make sure were talking about the same thing, all three monitors work fine. The problem is that windows thinks they are all different sizes do to the resolution difference. so when I move my mouse from one to the other its not seamless.
  11. Thanks everyone. Now I at least know my options.
  12. I use my 1440p monitor for gaming, if I force them all to 1080, will that 1440 still play games at 1440? Or will I have to change it everytime I load up a game?
  13. I have 3 monitors that are the exact same size, but different resolutions. The sizes are 1440p, 1080p, 720p. however, because they are different resolutions, windows thinks they are different sizes. When I move my mouse from one screen to the other it doesn't line up. I searched for a solutions on youtube and all I found was a guy posting this exact problem asking for solutions. The video can be found here. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.
  14. I asked luke on his stream and he said that someone else is finishing the video, but he said he wishes he didn't do it because the PCs weren't cared for correctly.
