So,long story short, I had a USB HDD in my system that got corrupted one morning so I removed it and its now in someone else's hands getting recovered.
I'm still running windows 10 off the SSD. Whenever i click a photo of any type, it should open in windows photo viewer. But for some reason it says "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture blah blah blah" and it does this on every picture. But when I go into slideshow mode, the pictures shows normally. Then I tried opening my DAW for recording music, Reaper. The UI had big white squares in some areas, and didn't look normal at all. Now the weird thing happens. I plugged in a USB thumb drive into my pc and it read it as drive E: which is the same letter name as the one that got corrupted. I opened the pictures again, and all worked normally. Opened reaper, normal too!! I unplugged the thumb drive, and both went back to their problems. How the heck can the lack of a drive do this?
