Hello LTT Forum members!
I'm looking into setting up a server running ownCloud. I am here looking for some advice on the hardware for the server. I'll be running Ubuntu 16.04 Server. (really excited to get deep into that, I've never really worked on a system without a GUI)
I plan to start off with about 10 TB of storage in raid 1, and I've "red" that the WD Red HDDs were very good. (Look I'm basically as good as Linus at making awful puns).
Other than that though, I've got no clue what I really need..
I'm assuming that in terms of processing power, very little will be needed and an i3 with onboard graphics will suffice, completely unsure though. As for the motherboard, I also don't really know what features/qualities I should be looking for.
Also if anyone here has experience setting something like this up, I'd appreciate any tips or advice you could give me!
