then, i think you should try to find your answer on specific comunity forums for those 2 games... if you know your system runs fine then it has to be software related.

Maybe you have a single setting ticked in there that kills performance for some reason or something...

If all else fail and you are convinced that all your settings and hardware are proper and you know for a fact you should get better performance, and you do want to play those games really bad...complete format of your windows drive and re-install everything.

I'm in contact with both ARK and Riot, the issue is that they even did a test run on their own build with the same hardware and it ran fine. Windows won't even let me reset my PC for some reason. - I believe it's software related.

Can you try running other Games too? Like Battlefield 5 or something else thats very demanding. I know that Ark is pretty bad optimized, idk about valorant

I ran BF5 just fine. GTAV too, COD MW, literally anything. My hardware should be running valorant at 240FPS+ and Ark at at least 60 fps

  3. Hey, I've noticed that on some games (ARK and Valorant have been tested), I get Low GPU and Low CPU usage. Therefore low FPS.

The only way to increase my GPU usage is to increase my game settings.

    Here are my specs

    i5-7600K
    GTX 1060 6GB ASUS ROG
    16GB 2133 MHz
    Asus ROG Z270F
    650W PSU
    --
    Windows 10 Version 1909

Let me tell you what I've done so far.
    - I have uninstalled Graphics drivers and have installed the latest ones.
    - I have updated my BIOS

    - I've made sure that it's not a bottleneck from temperature or CPU - it's not

    - I don't have an antivirus.

    - FurMark runs at 100% GPU usage

    - I'm on high performance mode

It works with my corsair k95 rgb platinum + deathadder elite +  kraken headset usb + xbox one controler and my phone charging so.... Take a look for usb hub that people tested with ps4 :D

I need one that connects both to my pc and ps4

  5. The question is.. do they exist? at all? I need a usb 3.0 switch 1 female to 2 female all Type A. I need a switch to connect my USB headset between my pc and ps4, I would love just a simple switch that can switch my headset from pc to ps4.

Considering it's a custom power connector, it's very unlikely you'll find converts from ATX to it. Especially considering that according to page 76 on http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01960471 there's two power connectors, and I already see one incompatible pin: 12V_SB. There is no +12V_SB in ATX. It's +5V_SB (though the _SB pins aren't really necessary, it just won't let some facilities of the PC when it's in standby or off to work). In any case, you can make your own connector with an ATX power supply, but I don't think anyone sells a converter specifically for this board.

At this point, it might better to find a smaller ATX compliant board than try to get this puppy powered up.

Thanks for the reply, do you have any idea what I wont be able to do with +12V_SB?

    From Germany here too :)

In average, RX 580 performs a few % better, depending on what games, and who tests.

    Hardwareunboxed did RX 480 / 580 / GTX 1060 tests in 27 games. It was 2 fps differences: RX 580 > GTX 1060 > RX 480.

Computerbase still has GTX 1060 slightly better.

Those few % differences are neglectable. You will NOT feel them Today, and you will NOT feel them in 2 years. Period.

RX 580 has 2gb more Vram, and supports the cheaper Freesync (which is the MAIN advantage).
GTX 1060 however consumes MUCH less power. It is around 120 Watt for a GTX 1060, and 200~ Watt for a RX 580.

No, RX 580 is NOT better than a GTX 1060 "period". Both have Advantages, and Disadvantages.

I like the power consumption of Nvidia MUCH more. 80 Watt are alot of additional Heat and cost.

But as a objective Gamer, i would take the RX 580 over a GTX 1060.

Only because of 1 Reason: Freesync. You can get 72-75 Hz Monitors 1080p and IPS/VA Panel with Freesync for about 130-170~ already.

or a 1080p 144 Hz VA Panel from Samsung with Quantum Dots for 250 + 19% Cashback.

Freesync does make a huge difference.

The cheapest G-Sync monitor that is relevant starst at 380€~.

However: RX 580 is not available right now, thanks to miners. Not 1 single Model. And if yes, it's for 330-440€. Not worth.

My opinion right now: GTX 1060, because it's the only card you can actually buy~.

Palit Jetstream / Gainward Phoenix are excellent models, very quiet, good cooler, and good VRM/Vram cooling. Should cost about 270€~, which is fine.

If there were a good Custom RX 580 for <280-290, i would say get that. But that's still a bit too much... RX 480 Asus Strix (one of the best models) was on deal for 199€ a few times earlier this year. so 280€+ are quite much for a few % faster RX 580, that also consumes more power...

This is the ONLY RX 580 right now available: https://geizhals.de/?cat=gra16_512&xf=132_8192~9808_11704+-+RX+580+(XTR)~9808_11704+-+RX+580+(XTX)&asuch=&bpmax=&v=l&hloc=de&plz=&dist=&sort=-p

And 364€ is way too much for a midrange GPU, that "should" cost 100 less.

You're MUCH better off getting a 370-400€ GTX 1070. 35-40% faster, and still consumes 50 watt less power.

Edit: comeon..... GTX 1060 also got a pricebump of like 40-50€.... seriously, this situation sucks right now.

These are my recommendation right now (Gainward Phoenix > others): https://geizhals.de/?cmp=1478764&cmp=1478147&cmp=1521981

But i would try to stay below 280-290 right now.

If you go ABOVE 300 bucks, don't take Palit jetstream, or Asus or anything: https://geizhals.de/msi-geforce-gtx-1060-gaming-x-6g-v328-001r-a1478791.html?v=l&hloc=de

One of the best GTX 1060 on the market. Much quieter than ANY RX 480/580 there is, very low temperature,  high power target. I had this bevore i upgraded to GTX 1080. I was perfectly satisfied, i NEVER heared it because it was silent all the time. Just upgraded because i got a 1440p / 165 Hz Monitor, that needed a bit more horse power.

    But personal recommendation: https://geizhals.de/?cmp=1479081&cmp=1478750

Because 270€ is quite good for this situation right now. The Cooler is okay, and you can do alot with undervolting in case it's a bit louder.

But would be 19 bucks more for a better Cooler~

I just got the ASUS ROG version because I always loved the design and I don't mind paying 30-40EUR extra for design. Thanks to linus I am trying to fully rgb my pc and stuff so yeah.

first off, 580 is better than a 1060. period. but given how much they are now, id say the 1060 is a better buy. but waiting never hurts, and 580 prices will likely drop within a few months, making the 1060 worthless again.

It is better, but 1060 was 10 months older, and some games support nvidia better than AMD, when I build a new rig, it's probably going to be full-amd unless intel releases better products.

A CX550 is in what way "cheapening out?" Explain that to me please. It performs very well electrically and is only hindered by the sleeve-bearing fan installed in it. And yes, although PSUs degrade, they only massively degrade when they can't tolerate the heat being forced through the unit, IE. a friend of mine who broke their AX750 which powered dual R9 290s for years due to the fact they had the PSU fan facing down with tall carpet. Old crappy PSUs with little rear exhaust fans might suffer from this too. The CX550M will not.

The CX550 is not a bad psu, but I would rather have it running a 1060 and a i5-7500 or less than an overclockable cpu and gpu. If OP decides to OC 3 years later (CPU, GPU), the PSU would have degraded and it might cause problems.

The one you chose is fine but if you have more money lying around then an EVGA B2/GS/GQ/G2/G3 would be fine with 550W being plenty and 650W+ being the minimum offering of a couple of those.

The Seasonic G-series 550W can often be found relatively cheap too.

I can recommend the Seasonic G-series too, it's actally a good PSU.

  11. Just now, STRMfrmXMN said:

A CX550M is not "cheaping out on a PSU" and he already bought it.

I think it is when you have a high end gpu and a mid range cpu. I get that the rating does not really mean quality, and I have never tested the EVGA G1 myself. I still think that you should get more than you need, its always better to be safe. I myself am running on a 80+ Bronze PSU, 750W. PSUs will degrade, i've seen this happen so many times.

  12. Just now, STRMfrmXMN said:

    No, no no no no

Effiency does not correlate directly to quality. An 80 PLUS Bronze unit can be of greater electrical performance and quality than an 80 PLUS Gold unit. Second, that PSU is totally fine for his system. Third, the EVGA G1 is terrible, worse in fact than the CXM that OP chose. The G1 is the worst among the Supernova lineup with an old group-regulated design and mediocre electrical performance, way outclassed by similarly priced EVGA units.

I dont love the PSU either but op wants to cheap out on PSU

  13. 1 minute ago, Juan11904 said:

But do you think a 550w psu will do the work?, Or should i get a 600w psu?.

550W PSU can just do it, but not 80+ Bronze, get a better certificatioon 80+ Gold or more. You're powering a mid range and a high end GPU with that PSU, so you should give it a bit more importance and more money from your wallet. Cut costs on others things, I'm talking from personal experience of computers breaking just because of the PSU. Some companies dont warrant that, look for something from EVGA.

Consider this one: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1, 80+ GOLD

Its really weird that in pcpartpicker they say that the wats should be 366 watts, Is overclocking take that much more power?

If you get a 400W PSU and you dont overclock, your pc wont instantly die, it will take a bit more time to die. I believe that you should never get any psu under 550W for a high-end gpu, and the psu you chose is 80+ Bronze, of course its going to degrade a lot
