Okay so I got to delete/uninstall all the drivers. Anything else?

I'm about to replace my cpu and motherboard with newer and different cpu and motherboard and install them in my case. Is there anything I need to do before I do that or can I just swap and go. I heard I might be able to recover windows 10 or I'll have to buy a new key if worse came to worse.

Right now I can get them for almost the same price and I am wondering people's opinions on the two or if one is better than the other.

I'm just not sure how many watts OCing produces but if the current psu is good enough for the build I want that would be good. I could get a different part a lot sooner.

What do you mean good OC are achieved? If u don't have to replace the psu that would be nice

Yeah I mean 6700k. I keep forgetting they have non k ones. Seems pointless to me to get a non k 6600 or 6700 cpu. Just my opinion. My case is a phanteks ethos pro m I believe. I want to replace the psu because 1. Will it be enough if I overstock and 2. Im not sure but is corsair cx 500m good enough for the setup I want to upgrade to?

Anything in brackets is what I am going to order to upgrade that part. My spec is I5 6500 w/ stock cooler (i7 6700k )(Corsair h80i v2) Asus gtx 1070 Corsair cx 500m ( evga 750 b2) Msi b150 p ( Asus z170 gaming pro aura) 2 8gb 2133 hyper x fury. The h80i v2 I chose that because I was watching tech deals $1500 build on YouTube and wanted to do something close to that. A good 1440p gaming rig.I know you can never future proof but more stay good in the next 3 to 5 years hopefully

Im new at all this tech stuff. What do you mean by "running something heavy" ? So far I'm gathering I should wait for the rest of the components to come in i guess. Anybody else think I should use a different cooler besides the one I listed or if my psu is overkill?

So I'm in the process of upgrading my computer. I ordered the cpu (i7 6700) and psu (evga 750w b2) I was planning on ordering the water cooler (corsair h80 v2) and motherboard ( Asus z170 pro gaming aurora) next month. I guess I have a couple of questions. Would the new cpu be okay in my msi b150 pc mate with the stock intel cooler if I wanted to swap it out with my current cpu and sell it? Also is the water cooler and the psu overkill for what my setup is going to be? I have 2 8gb 2133 sticks of ram, 2 1tb 7200 rpm hdd, 1 ssd and an Asus 1070 coming. If anybody else has different recommendations I'm all open. Thanks

so im finding when i run a gpuy heavy game at ultra settings the screen artifacts, shimmers and slows down to about 1 fps and crashes it happened to me on the wticher 3, metro redux, battlefiled 1 and dragon age inquisition. what does this mean ? do i need to get a new graphics card?

I'm not sure what I should be looking for when running these test. I did the furmark and was stuttering alot only hit max 37 fps at 1080p

i updated the bios and reinstalled nvidia drivers. reseated my gpu. im going to run a stress test and ill get back to you guys whats happening.
