  1. I am looking to upgrade from a 2080ti. I am not considering the 40 series, since it's out of my budget and the MSRP in europe is not resonable. I game at 4k with a high refresh rate capable monitor and do some rendering work. I am not concearned with the rendering cababilities, since the 2080ti was enough for my work, but would like more power for gaming. I have the option of getting either a 3080 10 gb for around 650euro or a 3090 for 850euro. The average fps difference at 4k is about 10-15% from what i gathered. Is this, combined with the vram difference worth it, or will I be wasting my money? (not considering the 3080ti or 3080 12gb, since they are the same price as a 3090 on the used market in my region, for some reason)
  2. I delidded this chip and applied liquid metal on the die, but i didn't coat the PCB with anything and left the gold dots untouched as well. Also I didn't apply any glue to act as a seal, but rather just held the IHS while socketting the chip. I tested it and it works with great temperatures on a crappy 120mm water cooler. Everything seems to be fine for now, but am I in for any surprises? Will the liquid metal move and short something on the cpu? I got 5.1Ghz (5.06 in win)(1h test in AIDA64) with1.38v and a max of 80 degrees with push/pull on an NZXT M22 AIO.
  3. I found a bunch of these generic looking cards on ebay. I want to buy a gtx 780ti at a good price, but this seems to good to be true. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GTX780TI-4GB-DDR5-128Bit-PCI-E-VGA-DVI-HDMI-Grafikkarte-Fur-NVIDIA-GeForce/163005305299?hash=item25f3df91d3:g:RnIAAOSwNhpa1xSD Linus recently reviewed some of these from aliexpress: But another guy tried to buy a gtx 750ti and got scammed: What to do? Buy a used decent 780ti for at least double the price or risk it?
  4. I am going to purchase an 8700 and a B360 motherboard, since this combo makes the most sense for my usage, but I forgot how to make Turbo Boost run at max frequencies all the time. Do I need to install Intel's extreme tuning utility or just have a cooler that will keep my cpu cool at all times?
  5. i got 4.7ghz on 1.28v on 6700k is it rare? or just average?
  6. I've recently decided to overclock my 6700k to 4.7ghz at 1.345v, i have a cooler master liquid pro 240mm. With hardware monitor and about 1h of testing with RealBench 2.44 (up to 8gb of ram) i got max temps of 82-85 ° C (a bit high, but I'm alright with it)... so, i started a test for 8h with up to 8gb and 3h later i come to see if anything happened, but the pc was put to sleep. I don't know what happened meybe it crashed and then went to sleep, but i found no article documenting this or any fourm disscutions. ...maybe I'm dumbb and there's a detailed log...? at lest i know for sure that the gpu is stable, a fouders ed, but pretty quiet and overclocks very well. How to make so it doesn't go to sleep anymore?
