  1. Like I said, he's persistent on intel, and he wants to build a pc and not really touch it for a few years
  2. 2k for just pc. Also I get that, but even when I bought my 3770k it was like $345. So price doesn't seem that unreasonable
  3. 2kish budget but he's persistent about intel
  4. so im building a pc for a friend, going with 9700k, and 16gb ram, but torn on rtx 2070 or 2080. i feel like 2080 will be bored at 1080p, but im not sure if 2070 will be able to pump out 144 fps + on AAA games. any help is appreciated. (Note this is my first time building a pc with a target fps of above 60+, so kinda unsure on how much power i need for it.)
  5. Cant get the same ram, Kingston discontinued it, also I may just try it and if It plays nice then cool. If not like u said, 16 is enough. Thanks
  6. so my system has been treating me well for gaming, but i figured its time to upgrade and add some ram. Im currently running 8gb of ddr3 hyper x predator (2x 4gb 2400mhz CL11). (Timing: 11-13-13-30-2n 1.65v) But i wanted to add some extra ram, due to the fact that i am seeing 7.2 gb usage. so i am looking at purchasing G.SKill Sniper series 16gb (2x 8gb 2400mhz CL11). (Timing: 11-13-13-31 -1.65v). So my question is the last numbers. will the variance of 1 number still be compatible? OLD RAM SKU: (KHX2400C11D3/4GX) NEW RAM SKU: (F3-2400C11D-16GSR)
  7. OK so I need some suggestions for my friends. I will be using 4770k's in both builds, but one of my friends wants an atx motherboard, and the other wants a micro atx.. I need some recommendations as far as boards (plz stay around $200) and really fast, snappy, ssds (preferably 250 gb). And would the smaller board be any less powerful than the atx size? Thanks in advance
  8. yea then i might upgrade to 780 because i am still stuck on intel HD 4000 (integrated).... i just want something to destroy games at 1080p around the $400 mark
  9. but my powersupply is adequate enough? even with the hefty oc on my cpu?
  10. Should i keep saving for a gtx 780 (I think prices will drop even more soon) or wait a little longer for gtx 870? and can i run a gtx 780 on a corsair tx550m psu? i have a 3770k @ 5.0 ghz, 2 - 1tb WD Black hdds, an optical drive, and an h100i.
  11. but it has a hyper mode right? so wont that help me a little gaming wise. or do i need a dedicated gpu for that? im currently running integrated intel HD 4000
  12. based on the video "AMD Dual Graphics - Does Crossfire with your Onboard Video" on the linustechtips youtube channel. i have a question... Im running a p8z77-v lx motherboard and the box says it has the a graphics feature known as LucidLogix Virtu MVP. is it the same thing that ur talking about, and will it work for nvidia gpu's? any help would be appreciated.
