I hope this is the right place for this, if not please move elsewhere.
Issue:
My PC is struggling to perform well when trying to record/stream at any resolution/bitrate. When not doing so, the system runs perfectly fine, but when trying to do so OBS says Encoder Overload please reduce video settings. Hopefully someone is able to provide some wisdom in resolving this issue as this PC should be suitable for atleast 720p streaming. GPU appears to be at 100% while recording, RAM 50%, but CPU doesnt appear to really kick in to encode properly. Think im forgetting something here. Thoughts!?!
PC Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x
MOBO: MSI B350M BASOOKA microATX (AM4)
GPU: Asus Dual-Fan OC RX 580 8GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB (16GB) 2400MHz
PSU: Rosewill Hive Series 750w Fully Modular
STORAGE: SPCC SSD 512GB (Primary), 1TB Western Digital WDC 7200rpm HDD, and 3TB WL3000GSA6472 7200rpm HDD
I think it could be CPU related, but idk tbh.
Performance while idle with Apex Legends and a dozen Google Chrome browsers open.
And then with OBS open and recording,
