  1. Usually how much more money are we talking about selling parts individually? My one concern with that method is that I sell parts like the graphics card immediately but then I can't get rid of something which might have more trouble selling on it's own like a case or something.
  2. Apologies in advance if this is the wrong section. So I have a laptop which I currently use for gaming but I also have my older desktop build which I wanted to sell to have money to upgrade. My desktop build is old enough and I would be replacing enough parts for the upgrade where if it was beneficial to sell it as a complete system I would. I am also in the situation where since I have a functioning gaming pc other than the one I want to sell I can afford to wait a while to sell my pc or even sell individual parts over an extended period of time. My desktop has an i5 6600k, r9 390, and 16gb of 2400 MHz ram. My questions are whether I should sell my pc as a complete system or part by part and what platform should I be selling it on (craiglist, ebay, facebook marketplace ect.)?
  3. Probably will go with the gmmk. Any other high quality hot swappable ones?
  4. I really want a keyboard with kaihl bronze switches but I can only find individual switches. Where do you find a full keyboard with them? Do you just have to build the keyboard yourself? If so what site do you recommend? Edit: Is another option getting a mechanical keyboard and replacing all the switches?
  5. I was originally looking at Mx speeds and lk2 switches however there I discovered there is a whole bunch of switches with actuation points higher than 2mm. From attempting to press the key to reaching the computer what do you think is the fastest key. I prefer clicky keys if there is a close second btw. Some notable ones I found were kaihl speeds, mx speeds, light strike switches, gateron switches, and the switches they put in the novatouch tkl
  6. For "competitive" gaming (read as complete scrub who wants to overcompenstae through tech) would mx speed switches (looking at a k70 rapidfire) with their 1.2 mm actuation distance or lk2 switches (recommend me a bloody keyboard) with a fast response time and 1.5mm actuation distance (I think) be better?
  7. My cousin is saving up for a gtx 1080 and for Christmas I thought I would give her some money towards it but also wanted to find something a bit more personal. I thought that the first dedicated graphics card would be a kind of cool gag gift. It should power the 1440p 144hz experience she is looking for right? /s. I want her to be able to run it on her computer for shits and giggles however. What is the first graphics card which will be able to do that?
  8. If you look at the performance however it is not as big of an increase as one might thing. Cpu power is not as important as one might think as well. The I7 47700k is a perfectly fine cpu and he should focus more on his gpu. Cpu's last longer than gpus in terms of needing an upgrade Also if you are looking for more cores why not ryzen?
  9. This is not really breaking news but recently Sony announced the RX0 action camera. Hower it seems to be rather lacking in action camera features such as built in 4k video and optical image stabilization which made the fdr x3000 great. Instead the RX0 seems to be more geared towards professional photographers looking for a rugged camera with a good lens. My question is do you think Sony is planning to release an action camera more in the spirit of the fdr x3000 and go pro hero 6 soon or if RXO is meant to be the upgrade from the fdr x3000
  10. Before linus's recent video on the massdrop vast I was pretty set on the Samsung chg70. However after the release of that I am now deciding between that and the more expensive chg70. What would you recommend for casual gaming on a r9 390 with an emphasis on immersion and beauty of the screen Edit: Responding to some of the comments. Yes I do plan to upgrade my gpu soon to better handle higher resolutions
  11. I will be using a dc5 pump if that changes anything. I am trying to decide between using 1/2 id 3/4 od and 3/8th Id 5/8th od tubing for a wc loop. What is the difference in performance between the 2?
  12. I have a corsair air 240. I want to put a cooling loop in it but it will be pretty tight. Is the case a limiting factor on the thickness of radiators and if so how thick of a radiator can I use and what model would you recommend?
