  1. I can try to get an adapter, but I don't have any money to use on side things currently. Plus, before I removed everything, the cooler's RGB stopped working, and the mouse and keyboard no longer worked. So I have no idea what to do. My TV's HDMI channel 2 lights up, showing that something is using it and on, but there just isn't any video showing. This would happen in the middle of me getting ready to move.
  2. My video card is an XFX Radeon RX 480 8GB GTR Black Edition.
  3. So before I tried it on another TV or anything, I decided to try and reseat the Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. This is what it looks like. I'm assuming I need to go get some new paste or something, and clean it up? Could that be why it derped and isn't working properly? Also, my video card is an XFX Radeon RX 480 8GB GTR Black Edition.
  4. I can try another TV, but the TV I'm using has three different ports. I've tried two. The one I was using for the PC I could believe that maybe it went out, but the second one I tried has never had any problems, and I've used it more than anything.
  5. Sorry, but I do not have a regular monitor.
  6. I don't have anything other than an HDMI. I've been using my TV for display since I put it together.
  7. Hey folks! I'm really new at this whole custom built PC stuff, and for the month or so that I've had it, it's been great. However, just today, it decided to go poof on me, and I don't know why. I was playing World of Warcraft, heading to activate a quest, and my PC just shut off. Ever since that happened, I can't get any kind of video from my PC to show up on my TV anymore. I've tried two different HDMI cables and ports as well. I even tried pugging the HDMI into the motherboard, but still no video. This is my build: Motherboard: Asus Prime X370 Pro CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 GPU: XFX Radeon RX 480 8GB GTR Black Edition PSU: EVGA 600/650w Bronze BQ RAM: 1 Kingston Fury HyperX 8GB I've tried some stuff, like reseating and moving the RAM, reseating the GPU, and even unplugging everything and plugging it back it. I also reseated the button battery thing on the motherboard, but I feel like that probably made it worse, because now my RGB light on the Wraith cooler isn't on anymore. I built this PC only a month ago, and it took all of my income tax money, so I'm hoping that someone can help me fix this or something. I don't want to, and I really can't afford to, buy any replacement parts. Thank you in advance for any help.
  8. What's an unactivated key, and does it restrict me much? Also, which version of Windows 10 do I need to purchase, and would you happen to know how much it usually runs?
  9. Hey folks! So I'm building my first gaming PC, and I'm not sure how this operating software works for a new custom built PC. Like, is it possible to copy the Windows 10 OS from my old prebuilt computer, to the new one? Or do I have to buy a whole new copy of the OS? As this is my first time building a PC, I have no idea how any of this works. So thanks for the help in advance!
  10. Is there a big difference between the XXX and Black Edition of the RX 480? I see them both on newegg, and the Black Edition has a 1338hz core clock, while the XXX has a 1288hz one. As someone that doesn't understand core clocks, or how to overclock a graphics card, does that make much of a difference? Is it easy to overclock a card, and if it is, can I overclock the Black Edition to go even a tiny bit higher?
  11. That was a really good video. So AMD tends to do better in the long run. Hmmm. That definitely adds another layer to this whole deal. lol Esepcially since it looks like they turn around and preform better than their counterparts. The 1070 with 8GB would still be an outright beffier and better purchase I'm thinking though? How long would you recommend waiting until updating the graphics card?
  12. I was told that the 480 would be nice if I wasn't looking to upgrade my card for like 3 years, because AMD is good at updating old cards, or something like that. Would you happen to know if I can max out most, if not all, games currently out at 1080p\60fps with a 480? Like For Honor, Doom, and similar new releases? Or is the 1070 going to be just flat out better in every way for that same 3 year time period?
  13. Alright. I'll save a bit more. While I'm not sure I'll be gaming at 1440p anytime soon, if at all, I know that I will be wanting something that I can crank everything up to ultra at 1080p, and getting well, if not a good bit, above 60fps. I heard the XFX RX 480 GTR was good for that, but if the 1070 can do it better, I'll try and get that. Thanks for all the help!
  14. Is that an AMD type card? Not a huge deal if it isn't, for some reason I just feel like I should get an AMD card with getting the Ryzen. I'll have to use newegg to look at 1070s. I've been stuck on Amazon because I have Prime, but I can tell that's not the overall best place sometimes.
  15. Would you suggest saving for a card in the $350-$400 range, or is the performance difference not that great?
