  1. Hey guys, Was wandering if I could get recommendations for a 1080p 144hz gaming monitor. I've got about £250 to spend for a monitor. If anyone could giveme some recommendations thatd be awesome. Thanks
  2. Hey guys. Just decided to give as much information as I could. Here is more information about the Aegis 3. First thing I did when I got the Aegis 3 was to play a lot of games at ultra-settings just because I could and also because I could finally say “yhup! I play games on ultra-settings at 60 fps with no issues” to my friends. It was a truly amazing experience and obviously, I recorded myself so I could cherish the amazing moment. I was a bit surprised when the Aegis 3 arrived because I was expecting a big PC but I got tricked by all the packaging wrapped around the Aegis 3. The Aegis 3 is a really compact PC. Along with the PC, you get the MSI Interceptor DS 4200 gaming keyboard and the MSI Interceptor DS B1 gaming mouse. The keyboard has special membrane switches which makes the keys have a mechanical feeling and I did go ahead to test this out and they are really good. Even when I tested them out while playing some games, they performed well. The mouse has a nice ergonomic design which makes it fit comfortably when using it. The mouse also has 6 customisable buttons that can be mapped to different functions. The Aegis 3 has a lot of features both at the rear and front i/o which I am really happy with. You get a USB type C port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Headphones in and Mic out port and a HDMI port for easy access when using VR. Sadly, I don’t have any VR device to test this. The rear i/o is pretty diverse. You get 4 USB 3.1 type A and 2 USB 2.0 ports, VR link which is a one click VR and HDMI-out port and so on. A lot of good features to help you connect a lot of compatible devices. The best feature for me is probably the PS/2 port because I still have this one special really old keyboard that I would love to use from time to time and I am really happy I can plug it into the Aegis 3. After a long time of searching around the case, I finally found the power supply. The bottom of the Aegis 3 is housed by the power supply. It is custom made to help separate the power supply from the other components as this will help reduce the heat generated and help get lower temperatures than normal. All in all, the Aegis 3 is lovely small form factor PC looks really cool and performance really well. If you plan on getting yourself an Aegis 3, you have the option of getting an Intel core i7-7700 or i5-7400 processor and you also have the option of getting a MSI GTX 1070 OR 1060 gaming 8GB GDDR5 graphics card. It comes with the Windows 10 Home operating system as well. Again more information can be found on the MSI website if your interested: https://uk.msi.com/Landing/msi-kabylake-gaming-desktop And a video about it if you are interested in that.
  3. It has an I7 7700 processor which you can't overclock.
  4. Hey guys, I am quite new here and I just thought I could get feedback from this community. Had the Aegis 3 for a while and I have decided to review it. It is a honest review and purely my opinion. I hope I have giving a lot of information about it in case you were interested in getting it. I hope I haven't broken any rules. Pros: Portable High Performance LEDs. We all love LEDs SSD, Hard Drive and ram can be accessed easily Cons: CPU maybe a bit hard to upgrade The MSI Aegis 3 simply amazes me when it comes to the performance of the futuristic small form factor PC. At full load the Aegis 3 CPU temperature is usually between 40 and 42 degrees and the GPU is usually between 50 and 70 degrees. The CPU is cooled by a custom air cooler that MSI have developed for the Aegis 3 and with the help of the Silent Storm Cooling technology that separates the CPU and GPU into different chambers, MSI have found a way to improve air flow in such a small case. The combination of all the technology makes the Aegis 3 a powerful and efficient PC . I have attached a picture that shows the temperature result when I was doing a 3D Mark fire Strike test. Fire strike is a showcase direct 11 benchmark designed for high-performing PCs. It features real-time graphics rendered with detail and complexity. It is a very demanding benchmark tool and will definitely push your PC to its limits. Furthermore, the result of the Fire Strike test was rather impressive. The Aegis 3 had a score of 13 300 on Fire Strike and was amongst 83% better than all results. The CPU was bang on 40 degrees which is fantastic for an air-cooled PC, while the GPU peaked at 70 degrees. Moving inside the case, the blower style air cooler as well as the long heat pipes are not what you see often compare to the normal ones we see in other PCs. This is because the Aegis 3 is really compact and to get all the tech inside the case, somethings need to be changed. The cooler pulls air directly onto the CPU with the help of vents that are all over the case and the long heat pipes are purposely designed like that to help take heat from the CPU and then dumped outside the case. In conclusion, the MSI Aegis 3 is a fantastic high performing PC that has a well-designed chassis which helps it to be very efficient. It is very much a recommended PC to go for when looking for a powerful fancy looking PC.
