So which do I upgrade GPU or CPU?

Current Specs CPU: AMD x6 1055t OC'd @ 3.4ghz GPU: Sapphire Radeon 6950 2gb DDR5 Ram: 8gb 1333GHz DDR3 CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo PSU: Cooler Master 700w Motherboard: Asus M4A88T-M/USB3.0 Hard Drive: 1TB 7200 rpm I'm having issues running Arma 3 and the newest games that are coming out. I built this pc near 2010 and it's served me well, though I think I could probably upgrade it. Which part should I upgrade? Would adding a newer video card possibly bottleneck it, bearing in mind that the CPU is aging?

Hey guys, I was wondering which card at the highest would start being bottlenecked with my CPU being at 3.4ghz OC. I currently have a 6950 2gb and experience no bottleneck, though I'm not getting the greatest performance from the newest gaming titles and less onwards. So I would like the know how high end I could go with video cards until I see a bottleneck, and would it be worth it to upgrade? Thanks, ArmyWorm.

Yeah I have that cooler, very happy with it. So you guys recommend sticking with this CPU, maybe OC'ing it more and going for a 280x? I wonder how it will perform with upcoming Mantle API, which is why I want to know whether I should upgrade or not.

I have an AM3 board, and the budget would be for either a video card or cpu/mobo upgrade

Should I wait through for AMD's Mantle to see how it will affect my 6 cores performance?
