  1. Thank you for clarifying that! - phew.
  2. Thanks! I was unsure as I heard that only NVidia card supported G-sync and my one is by EVGA. (if that makes any difference?? if so please tell me) Im a bit of a noob when it comes to these sort of things. Thanks
  3. I'm looking for a new monitor, will this card support g-sync?? Thanks https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/ph38TW/evga-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-sc-gaming-video-card-08g-p4-5173-kr
  4. Not competitive gaming. I don't play FPS shooter games like CS:GO I will be playing games like Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous. I just want to get the best picture without any lag or long response times within my £250-300 budget. Can my video card handle a 1440p 60hz monitor? Also (if you know) what would be the main differences between choosing a 1080p 144hz and a 1440p 60hz. Is is the higher resolution on the 1440p worth the reduction of hz (144hz - 60hz) As I imagine that the space games I play would benefit a lot from a higher refresh rate. Thanks!
  5. Yeah sounds like a 1080p 144hz would be the best option then. Is the response time any good? Thanks
  6. £250-300 Woops, budget added into original post. thanks for reminding me.
  7. Hi So I'm looking to a new monitor that will show the true potential of my new gaming rig. I currently have a 24 inch 75hz monitor. I would like at least a 24 inch size screen. Should I get a 1080p 144hz or 1440p ??hz EDIT: Budget: £250-300 Can you recommend me anything? Thanks! CPU: i5-6600k + Hyper x212 EVO GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED (8gb x2) MB: Asus 170-A Pro
  8. out of those 2, what one do you think I should get? Is there much difference? Or could you recommend a different one? Thanks for the help!

I am looking for a cheap motherboard to go with my build. This is my old PC so I just want to get it up and running again. I don't want to spend more than around £70. Thanks
  10. Hi Ive had a look on Ebay, can you conform if this motherboard is compatible? Will it fit into my case and fit my components? I don't know if what I am possibly buying will actually work with my components. This is the motherboard. Thanks!
  11. The PSU was old anyways, so I needed a new one. But that's not the point of this forum post. I asked someone I know, he suggested it was a Mb issue and apparently the problem will transfer to the PSU if I kept using it? Can this happen?
  12. Hi As the title suggests, when I go to turn on the PC it will power on then shut down and restart, this will happen a few times until it finally boots. But if I flip the power switch on my PSU, wait 10 seconds and switch it back on the PC boots fine. So what I have done so far: I thought it was a Power supply issue, so I bought myself a brand new Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply. For the first few days it booted up perfectly fine, and I thought the issue was resolved. But now its started again, this makes me think it could be a motherboard issue? My motherboard is old, I've had it probably 8 years now. ( I cant remember what the MB is). Any suggestions? Thanks.
