  1. I did try the other PSU, same issue with both. I'm reading and looking at this issue with the z490 default voltages being too high and haven't found anything on exactly how to fix it. I don't wanna fuck anything up. EDIT: Looks like I'll just have to disable MCE on the new mobo? Anyone else can chime in on this specifically?
  2. Yeah, an Antec Earthwatts 750w I have the Thermaltake in my current build with the g4400 and it's been fine so far.
  3. This makes me wonder what boards are affected by stock voltages being too high on z490 boards because I ordered a MSI Z490-A PRO to arrive today.
  4. Not at all that I saw, I have an h100i on it and that thing runs like a dream. Got a Thermaltake PSU at 750w https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1047926-REG/thermaltake_ps_tpd_0750mpcgus_1_toughpower_750w_80_plus.html
  5. I have a question, I'm not sure if either its my motherboard or CPU that died. It doesn't turn on at all except for a flicker when the CPU is seated but with no CPU in at all it at least turns on giving me the light that there's a CPU error. Is that a good sign that it's the motherboard dead and not the CPU when I don't have a replacement for either? The CPU in question is a 10850k On the flip side with my current placeholder build, a 2080ti and G4400, it's practically unusable with the cpu usage at 100% no matter what. Is that supposed to be that bad of a bottleneck for the 2080ti or is this another issue?
  6. Friend is having an issue and I can't seem to get to the bottom of it, it's been happening 2-3 times a day now. The display goes off along with the sound but then the sound returns and the display stays black until the computer is restart. We tried using DDU to do a clean driver install and all but to no avail. Any idea what's up? She's using an MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio.
  7. Isnt that just something the GPU does automatically?
  8. I have a Hybrid cooler on my 2080 Ti and wanna stop the downclocking from happenibf due to thermals. I'll sit at a solid 2100 until I go o er a certain temp and them it clocks down little by little to 2050 and lower almost without even hitting 65c. I just wanna know what I can do via MSI afterburner or some other app so I can stay at 2100 regardless of the temperature. Also if helps I have my voltage maxed and my power limit at 140%. Also have a Windforce OC 2080 Ti.
  9. Worked like a charm, can now raise my power limit to 140% Much thanks for the help.
  10. Alrighty, time for me to give it a whirl. What should I use, is there anything else besides NVflash?
  11. So I have my Windforce OC 2080 Ti (GV-N208TWF3OC-11GC) and wanna update it to the bios that raises the power limit. However after researching just to be 100% sure I won't brick, I can't seem to match up driver numbers, for example; I can't find my current Bios Driver number online at all. I'm trying to update to this specific bios here because it has the higher limit. (https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/204664/gigabyte-rtx2080ti-11264-181014) I'm also going to upload the backed up current bios incase someone needs it to find the actual version I have. At the end of the day, I just wanna be 300% sure this won't brick my card if I update to it on my Windforce OC. Current Bios.rom
  12. According to some benchmarking videos online you should be getting around 120 average FPS.
