  1. Have a little fun and test it out a bit. Maybe see if I see any improvements on my current rig?

I have an A10-5800K and a gtx 950 in my current build anyways, so the gtx 760 alone is about 5-10% more powerful and the cpu 40-60. Any recommandation?
  3. Since they're so single threaded wouldn't a 3Ghz dual core run it better than a slower clocked Quad core? And can I run a server on each core then? Also how much of s performance difference is there between 64 tick and 128 tick?
  4. I have an old system with a Core 2 Duo E8400 and 4Gb of Ram. I know that 64 tick is the standard for CSGO, but that 128 tick is what's preferred. Minecraft however runs on a fixed 20 tick basis. (It doesn't need much more anyways.) I don't plan on running anything else, and this entire rig (however weak it may be) will be dedicated to the server. As is, which game will my server deliver better performance in? And if I upgrade to a Q8200 and 8Gb of Ram how much will it help performance? Thank you for any responses.
  5. So I'm building a build with spare parts I have around. It's not meant to be a crusher, I already have a pretty powerful rig. This rig is just meant to play titles like Rocket League and LOL. The parts that I have already are the ones that are listed as free. CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 215 2.7GHz Dual-Core OEM/Tray Processor (Purchased For $0.00) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Alpine 64 GT 25.6 CFM CPU Cooler ($8.90 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI 785GT-E63 ATX AM3/AM2+/AM2 Motherboard ($30.00) Memory: Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2-667 Memory (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint M7 250GB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: MSI GeForce GT 610 1GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Xion XON-350_BK ATX Mid Tower Case ($24.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Raidmax 380W ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Keyboard: Gear Head KB2500U Wired Slim Keyboard (Purchased For $0.00) Mouse: HP H4B81AA Wired Laser Mouse (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $63.89 It's important that I get an AM2+ motherboard and not an AM3 because I need the DDR2 comparability. It's also worth noting that the GPU I have is actually a GT 320, PCPartPicker doesn't have it and the 610 is closest in performance to it. If I upgrade my GPU to a 6850, how much will it increase performance? The shitty PSU I already have on hand (Brand new bought like a year ago) does not have a 6 pin so I would need to buy a new one. (I plan on getting a new one anyways, this one is ridiculously shit.) CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 215 2.7GHz Dual-Core OEM/Tray Processor (Purchased For $0.00) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Alpine 64 GT 25.6 CFM CPU Cooler ($8.90 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI 785GT-E63 ATX AM3/AM2+/AM2 Motherboard ($30.00) Memory: Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2-667 Memory (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint M7 250GB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card ($25.00) Case: Xion XON-350_BK ATX Mid Tower Case ($24.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($37.49 @ OutletPC) Keyboard: Gear Head KB2500U Wired Slim Keyboard (Purchased For $0.00) Mouse: HP H4B81AA Wired Laser Mouse (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $126.38 I plan on upgrading the PSU anyways, but is the GPU worth the upgrade?
  6. I'm replacing my PSU so I get the unique opportunity to start over with the cables. My first build with this rig I kindof just moved the cables out of the way of the fans and that's it. I would assume electrical tape is safe because of the name but can I use it? I'm broke as shit and my case is so basic the back panel doesn't even come off.
  7. I'm building my dad a low end gaming rig for the living room. He plays Call of Duty every day after work, so I know he likes to game. I started playing Path of Exile (Which borrows heavily from Diablo II) and I could see that shimmer of "Wow this is amazing" that I used to see when he played Diablo II. So I started building him a rig. I'm broke as shit, but had a Mobo, PSU, and a GPU to start with, so that cut my costs in half basically. I'm seriously not looking for any record breaking performances out of this rig, but I want him to be able to play some games comfortably. More indie games and popular games really. This is the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yrKLYr CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $28.00) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Alpine 64 GT 25.6 CFM CPU Cooler (Purchased For $9.00) Motherboard: MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard (Purchased For $0.00) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (Purchased For $18.00) Storage: Seagate Pipeline HD 500GB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $22.00) Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Xion XON-350_BK ATX Mid Tower Case ($23.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Raidmax XT 500W ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (Purchased For $0.00) Keyboard: Logitech Wireless Combo MK270 Wireless Standard Keyboard w/Optical Mouse ($22.13 @ Newegg) Total: $123.11 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available I got the CPU cooler for dirt cheap, and I don't plan on overclocking it at all. The only slight difference is I got 1333 RAM (The 1600 above is wrong) for compatability reasons because I didn't have the MOBO with me and it's an older one and I think you have to overclock to get the higher RAM speeds. I already had the parts that are listed as free, and the PSU is even unopened. So for the preliminary list I have: Path of Exile War Thunder CSGO Rocket League Diablo II LOL Heroes of the Storm The total cost of this will be like 30 bucks because there's a lot of F2P games in there. Any other ideas for must have games? Sorry if this is the wrong place. (Also side question:) In keeping with the budget spirit of this build, what should I upgrade next? I don't mean a total system overhaul, I mean just a part or two to change. I think my dad really misses me since I left for college and I wan't to make him feel like we can bond over something.
  8. And even then rounds are pretty fast paced usually.
  9. I'm looking for a super cheap computer or bare bones. From what I can tell the best option is something like an old Dell Optiplex or an HP 8200. Basically anything that was sold in massive numbers to enterprises or schools. The newer the better, but I seriously just wan't a cheap PC to tinker with/turn into a pet project. Where would I find something like this?
  10. Same man. Tbh I think that's what it is. Probably saves space to get rid of the plastic "Window" and allows for cheaper bulk shipping costs too. A stick would still show it off.
  11. Mate I'm pretty sure that's a sticker.. There's no depth to where that "Processor" is.
  12. First of all, the AA is on max. They said so in the into if you would actually read it. "ALL SETTINGS ARE MAX. Second of all, Godrays reduce fps by alot. Your benchmark has them on, while mine did not.
  13. Do you know how to read a graph? That says 86 not 60. And that's with "Godrays" on which isn't standard for max settings in Fallout 4. Don't talk out of your ass. The 3d guru article you quoted literally proved you wrong. *EDIT* Also don't listen to this guy he can't even read your resolution right. He think's you're on 2560x1440p when you clearly said you're on 1440x900p.
