  1. Ah, bummer My best bet will probably be modding a case then I'll find something with the form factor I like then cut it up and put in a window. I'll probably only go through 3 cases before I get it right lol.
  2. I was thinking about it, but I feel like the mesh would annoy me too much Also, I watched a video on it (dont remember who's), but the heatsink was too large so he left it open and did something to secure it down. I need to look at it again, maybe it was a different heatsink?
  3. Hi! I want a very small mini itx case for a Ryzen APU (gotta get on that bandwagon?). I want a case with a window so I can see all the coolness inside. I am never going to add a GPU into this case so I do not want / need the extra space that a bigger mini itx case would give me. My current case is https://www.amazon.co.uk/Streacom-ST-F1CS-WS-EVO-Casing/dp/B00FQVS8AC and it is the perfect size. My only issue with it is that I cant see inside! I didnt care about seeing inside with my old hardware, but my Ryzen APU will have the RBG heatsink (friend gave me his when he bought an R7 1700). I dont want the look to be wasted by not being able to see it! I've spent the last several hours looking through Case after case for something that would fit the bill. I just cant find anything that matches that form factor (a little bit bigger is fine, but cant be too much), and with a window! Anybody know of such a case? Or even a DIY guide for modding a case to fit a window? What about a DIY guide for creating a case? thanks!
  4. Do not get 1 stick of ram. Get 2 x 4GB. I'd recommend at least 2800mhz (i'd spend the little bit more for 3000mhz) You want dual channel memory for APUs. If you dont run in dual channel you lose a lot of performance

  6. Do you think that could cause an issue with the cooling on my CPU? As the GPU will put out a lot of heat into the case the warmer air will be dragged through the radiator. I am not too experienced when it comes to temperatures so I am not entirely sure if it would be a real issue or not. I've watched some videos and did some digging, but there is a lot of different info on it. The last video I watched showed it made a fairly large difference. But I always take everything with a grain of salt.
  7. In response to my temperature issue. I could also change the Radiator on top to an intake and the 3 in front as an exhaust. That would probable avoid my concern with my CPU temp getting too warm from the GPU I prob should have put this in the General forum now as it is branching into multiple topics
  8. So, I'm building my new PC and I have a dilemma. I am using a closed loop liquid cooling system for my CPU 1st option: Mount my Radiator at the top (blowing air out the top) and keep all my HDD bays (5). This radiator has 2 140mm fans. Doing this would also force me to not use an exhaust fan in the back (not a huge deal, at least I dont think it will be). I will have 3 120mm intake fans in the front. Also slightly concerned if my GPU will cause my cpu to get warmer temps with this orientation. 2nd option: Mount my Radiator in front as an intake (still 2 140mm fans). This would force me to remove all my HDD bays (I have 2 ssd mounts and 1 hdd mount next to my psu). Using the HDD mount and 1 of the 2 SSD mounts. Currently have 2TB HDD, 500GB ssd and 250GB nvme m.2 storage. I can then mount 3 fancy LED 120mm fans on the top as an exhaust. Moving my Radiator to the front will also free my rear exhaust fan spot up which can be either a 140mm or 120mm fan. If I need more storage in the future, I could buy a second ssd to fill my 2nd mount (but would also cost much more than an HDD. Would having 4 exhaust fans hurt my case airflow too much? I feel like it would. Small recap: I would gain more Storage space for possible future needs but lose the flashy LED fans and a rear exhaust fan. I would gain more looks and an additional fan with the 2nd option. I would mostly be using my storage space for games. I suppose I could always buy a very large 2.5in HDD for all purpose storage as well. For files I don't need to load as quickly as others. Thoughts?
  9. Ahh! I actually did read about that, i wasnt looking at the correct spot in CPU-Z then, I missed the "Dram"Section and mistook nb frequency for it (which would have been roughly 2400MHz) so I kind of messed myself up. I really wish Windows would have just read it correctly in the first place >.< thanks!
  10. Ah, ok. Just had me concerned is all, thanks guys!
  11. Solved now, thanks guys! Hello! I am having issues with getting Windows to read the correct speed of my Ram. My Memory is supposed to be 2133MHz (Im fairly certain i set it correctly in the Bios, it at least shows me that i have it set to that, maybe there is something else to allow the OS to use it in the bios?) But Windows 10 is telling me the speed is only 1333MHz (from Task Manager and from "wmic memorychip get speed") My motherboard supports 2133 MHz memory Gigabyte Micro ATX DDR3 2133 NA Motherboard GA-F2A88XM-D3H https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AG8WKYO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My Memory is 2133 MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D80PPM2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My Google attempts have not been helpful this time around so I must call on a higher power! Please, help me Oh knowledgable ones!
