  1. Wait so you only have the Lian Li? If thats your case, then I would suggest the Asus X570 Strix-E, NOT THE STRIX-F. Its a bit more but a much better board. Get 3200mhz ram.
  2. well.. its complicated.. I need experience to tell you yes or no. If you don't plan on memory overclocking then get 3200mhz
  3. Yep, new cards will be super fast. Happy I could help, pm me when you start the buying process!
  4. You don't need to get 3600mhz ram but those supported ram things are kinda off. You should be able to run 3600mhz with xmp. The Tuf has a great VRM, buildzoid has talked about it as the best value board
  5. Also what I am saying is that you shouldn't get the 2080ti you should get the 3080ti or whatever if your gonna spend that much money
  6. AYEEEE ANOTHER F1 Fan dope yeah Im a Redbull guy Verstappen is amazing, went to Canada and saw the Vettel Hamilton think it was insane, most races you walk away form the track excited and happy, everyone was dead silent, this is the shit they didn't talk about on tv
  7. The Treadripper chips are actually not good gaming CPUs. They have a low clock speed and poor single core performance. For many games, they only use 2-6 cores. No game uses over like 12. The 3950x has 16 cores for content creation, but crucially a lower cost, cheaper platform, and most importantly, significantly higher clock speed. With the x570-E from Asus, and a 360mm AIO, pushing a stable OC should be easy. If you have the extra cash, the Asus Crosshair VIII Hero is a better board but 60 more so I didn't include it. Yeah just take out the hard drive and u have a sick gaming rig. You could replace the harddrive with a smaller one or increase the size of the m.2 SSD. With the extra money from the hard drive, you could actually buy a 2080ti, but I would not recommend it, NVidia is set to announce the 3000 series soon, after this stupid virus anyway.

The parts in this list will allow your son to "overclock", the memory is made for Ryzen, the motherboard has very good VRMs for the price, and the cooler has a high headroom for OC.
  9. If you build a rig to max out storage, then like if you want to access that data your pc will need to be on, if thats not a problem then sure. But you can save money by using ur existing server. Heres a list for both replacement and a dedicated rig, just remove the HDD if you want to keep the T310. Stay away from Threadripper. The 3950x is such good value, 16 cores and a much higher clock speed for gaming. Heres a list I have but feel free to change parts based on your perference: Again, the hard drive is only there if you keep the T310, MB has Intel 1gb LAN PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zY8ZHB CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 3.5 GHz 16-Core Processor ($737.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Fractal Design Celsius S36 Blackout 87.6 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($141.97 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard ($299.00 @ B&H) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory ($189.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($179.99 @ B&H) Storage: Seagate IronWolf Pro 16 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($521.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB XC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($759.99 @ Best Buy) Case: be quiet! 11. Stock fans, skip the Noctua cooler and go for a hyper 212, don't get an NVME drive, lower efficiency psu, idk but skip the Lian Li, and get the Tuf x570, great VRM and features for the price
  12. You'll have to give up the Lian Li case, sorry but that is a waste of budget in my opinion. Heres a list with similar parts, ram is clocked down but still Neo, monitor is arguably better, better CPU cooler and better VRM's on MB. 13. Yeah this is something that doesn't happen all the time, so its not something that I want to go that far with. I would rather do a fresh install of Windows but no corrupted files show so I could do a fresh install to clear drivers. Thanks for all the help, what I should upgrade I just don't know. I feel my PSU is fine, my cooling is fine, so its MB or GPU. Thanks again

  15. I have a Titanium Seasonic Full Modular PSU so that shouldn't be the issue right. I'll turn ram speed down. So you think MB and not GPU?
  16. I have a Titanium Seasonic Full Modular PSU so that shouldn't be the issue right. I'll turn ram speed down. So you think MB and not GPU?
  17. its a 2x16 kit, I cant try to recreate the fault as it's totally random but I can run the ram slower and see the result. I am pretty sure its not a memory issue though.
  18. ram was set at 3000mhz no xmp everything else stock, I played around with gpu overclocking for a day then set it back to stock
  19. Temps are fine gpu fans like never spin and temps never go over 70, CPU has a 360mm overkill aio so thats fine. I have done a search for corruptions many times and nothing came back. My questions is what part, GPU?
  20. Okay did memTest and no errors came back. GPU?
  21. Yeah bios updated, ram memtest86+ no errors. It must be GPU itself, its seated fine and slightly overclocked but that was a recent adventure and nothing that caused previous errors. Thanks!
  22. thats what I was thinking, will do a mem test and report back
  23. Hey Guys, My system is a: Ryzen 2600x Asus B450F 32gb 3000mhz Trident Z Gigabyte Windforce 980ti (shes an old girl) Seasonic 750 prime Ti Corsair H150i pro Intel 760p 512gb Game drive Samsung 860evo boot drive There are multiple things the computer has done and they lead me to suspicion of either the install of windows or the hardware. About 4-5 months ago, when playing CSGO, I would experience weird crashes, where the frames would drop suddenly and then the screen would be frozen, I could not access task manager to close CS, nor could I exit the game, therefore requiring me to hold my power button for a force shutdown. That problem seemed to stop, I have had antivirus on my pc forever and I don't feel that I have a virus, I run regular scans and watch what I download. Now, my new problem is weird boots. Sometimes, when I turn on and the Asus boot screen pops up, everything is fine, the Windows dot loading circle spins for a few seconds, then freezes. Other times, I boot my pc and there is just no signal at all. Whats weird is that most of the time my pc works fine, other times it just doesn't boot. My question is complex, but what I am asking is if something hardware related is failing (all memory is recognized and running at 3000mhz) or if something software is wrong, either requiring a clean install of Windows, or a driver reinstall. If I do upgrade CPU and motherboard, any suggestions for 5-6 hundred Ryzen, best FPS for CSGO? Gpu? Thanks guys, stay safe, -Django
