  1. My build was as follows Gigabyte z270 ITX - 150 I3-7100K - 150 16 Gigs 2133 Corsair ram - 135 Noctua Low profile cooler - 55 1 new 120mm noctua fan - 28 I put this in the Lian Li train case for to much money, bu the nerd points were worth it Total less the case - 518 I build this for my wife as a work bench / browsing comp- it actually runs almost all my games without an issue on mid-high level settings. and it looks like a freaking train.
  2. depends on you, do you want a beast, or a sexy horse, you choose
  3. I have a soft spot for Gigabyte boards, the included led's are cool and they are stable boards, IMO anyway https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128978&cm_re=gigabyte_micro_atx-_-13-128-978-_-Product This is what i bought but the Matx version
  4. I just had this problem with my msi B150i / I3-7100K ITX build, i ended up returning the MOBO to newegg and ordering the 270 series from gigabyte, posted with no issues , runs like a dream. EDIT : i should mention i tried everything else too, trying to flash bios on the board to accept 7th gen pcu's, switching pcu's to a 6th gen and flashing bios. in the end it was just easier to get the right part
  5. I just switched all the fans in my stormstryker case and the corsair h100i v2 cooler to noctua from the stock Corsair fans, i cant get it over 45 degrees in a stress test with the 6700k and gigabyte 1080 windforce. Im just impressed with how quiet it is, noctua destroys everyone for being quieter.
  6. noctua = preformance Corsair RBG = if your MOBO can handle it for badass looks Or check out newegg and ncix for the sales and see what works best
  7. Gigabyte 1080 nividia windforce - VR is like a dream with this thing, i run my vive, 2 monitors and a projector all off the video card with no issues, sexy sexy beast.
  8. Final result : MOBO was dead - new egg shipped me another at no cost, all works great, Kirk can ride the train now.
  9. ive asked, but alas there are no reply's... This is an option, but OCD is major overdrive, was hoping not to order anything, if it comes down to it ill remove my I7-6700k and use it.
  10. pcpartpicker.com my friend, compatability filter is my friend, and now yours
  11. I downloaded the manual and it does say it will update via usb, but it describes the process of being in bios to choose the usb, so i am thinking thats not an option
  12. Hey guys, Im building an itx into Lian Li's train case and hit a snag, i ordered my Mobo ( MSI b150I) which is only 6th gen intel compatible, it does however have a bios update for 7th. so the question is, whats the quickest way to update bios, seeing as it wont read the I3-7100k .... my first guess is to pull the 7600k from my other build, but would like to avoid the work. i was reading online that you can flash some mobo's with a usb pre cpu, is this true? side note : i found this out when it didn't post...
