Can anyone make me understand how the Intel core processors code naming works.
There is:--
Sandybridge
Ivy bridge
Haswell
Broadwell
Skylake
Kaby lake
Intel launched the 7700K now its launching the 7740K as Kabylake-X. But they are launching the i9 7920X, 7900X, 7820X & 7800X as Skylake-X.
Now what is this Kabylake-X and Skylake-X? I know that it has 10/20 or 12/24 cores extreme edition. But the numbering scheme is so confusing. As the 7 is for Kaby lake. Now they are using it for Skylake-X (why not 6) as well as for Kabylake-X.
