  1. Not sure if this is in the right Forum. I have a Dell S2716DG Monitor for PC gaming but I want to use my Xbox on it too (when my girlfriend comes over she uses the TV for her Xbox while I want to use the monitor for mine) but when I plug it in, there's just a blank screen, the backlights are on but no image. The monitor recognises that there is a HDMI plugged in but nothing is working. Is there a known fault with the monitor that doesn't allow an Xbox to work with it? I have contacted Dell and they have been trying to sort it but they recommended that I check online to see if anyone has had the same problem or if anyone knows if I have to change settings for it to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. I bought a Asus GTX 1080 STRIX and I got a promotion code for 1 of 2 games; For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildland. Opinions on which one to get? I enjoy both hack and slash and shooters so I'm kinda stuck between the two.
  3. Will do. Thanks for the help.
  4. Would an air cooler suffice? I really really do not want to go near water cooling. Is it difficult to update the BIOS?
  5. The £1200 is the max I would spend but I'd prefer to spend less if possible. The thing that would cost me the most would have been the GTX 1080 Ti so I just kinda estimated a budget, this is why I came here before so I don't go throwing money about when it is not necessary.
  6. I'm looking at no more than £1200 for my budget. Plenty of space. I play a lot of new games and I like to have them on the best quality with a nice FPS. Gaming and also for making Word documents etc... About £800 - £900 I believe including tax. I have a Dell S2716DG Monitor 2K 144hz G-Sync (sorry, forgot to mention it)
  7. I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I need some help regarding what is best, I will include what I was thinking of upgrading, would like it if I could have feedback regarding compatibility/ if you think it is a bit overkill. Thanks
  8. Thanks for the reply. I liked the idea of the Samsung having the curve so I was more towards that one of the two.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I had a look at them, they both seem good but I saw the 27 inch model and was wondering if you think it's worth the extra £100 to get that one instead of the 24 inch. Is a TN LED monitor good? Dell S2716DG 27-Inch TN LED https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016QR3NR2/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_jJdNybXGCFJ3E
  10. Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new gaming monitor for under £500 and I found these two. Both seem great (in my opinion) but I'm not sure which would be best. If you have any other suggestions then please let me know, I would prefer one which is 144hz, lowest response time possible and to have G-Sync (as I have a GTX 970). Samsung LC24FG70FQUXEN http://displaysolutions.samsung.com/business-monitor/detail/1033/C24FG70 Asus VG248QE https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/VG248QE/ Thanks -Update- I ended up going for the Dell S2716DG 2K, 144hz, G-Sync monitor. So far so good. Only problem was the price of it seems to be rising quickly, it went up nearly £60 in less than 2 weeks. If you are in the UK, PC World currently have it for £499, over £100 cheaper than anywhere else I could see.
