Ill check the power button conmection. As for the psu, it has 250w more then what I need (gold rated corsair 750w) so i wouldnt think power would be the problem, but idk. Breakers I cant control since im in a door, but my roommate hasnt had troubles, so I doubt its that

My psu is a gold rates corsair 750. I did the math when I got my new gpu and i only needed 500w at the time. Is there any possibility that could have changed?

Wondering if someone can help me here. Lately (within the last week) ive been having sudden and unexpected shutdowns. The best way to explain it is as if my computer power button was held down without me knowing (it isnt). Its that kind of sudden. I had a friend try and help me figure the problem out, but there are no crash reports he could find and the only dump file that was saved mentioned my gpu. I updated my drivers, but the problem persists. I thought "maybe my computer is overheating" but Ive checked each seperate part, all have working parts, the gpu never breaks 35 degrees C, cpu was fine when stress tested, and Im just lost for what to do. I thought "maybe its because of League of Legends" which is running 80% of the crashes, but after contacting support and doing what they said, nothing has changed. Ive done security scans to check for bugs or viruses, got nothing. I just dont know what to do anymore. Please help.

I upgraded my gpu (from a gt610 to a rx480) about 3 months ago, and while its been working amazing, i cant help but think that my cpu is bottlenecking the gpu, and its just in need of a replacement anyways. My current CPU is a AMD fx-4100. Any suggestions for a new cpu? Im hoping to find one under $150

So ive recently started having font problems with my PC whenever im using Word of any search Engine. I included pictures of the problems. The top left picture is the information bar that comes from hovering the cursor over a chrome window bar for a few seconds. The picture on the top right is the Word spell check bar. Interestingly enough, by moving the cursor over the bar the options are shown, but only after moving the cursor over the missing space. The font controls however never change. The current font is set to Times New Romans by the way. The bottom left picture shows the different file saving options (like jpeg and gif, etc). The bottom right picture shows the special paste options. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to possibly fix it?

Got a new gpu (Rx-480) and after getting drivers and everything set up, i downloaded elite dangerous, played 5 minutes, and suddenly my entire pc shutdown. This happened two more times before i went to ask some questions and the main replies were "Check your psu" and "Check your tempature." My psu is brand new, so no problems there but i checked my temp and noticed something strange. My rx 480 is at 80c but the fan WILL NOT RUN. Ive tried using AMD's wattman program to get the fan spinning but it isnt working. Please someone help.

The title says it all pretty much. I just finished upgrading my pc with a new psu and gpu, everything is wired up and running, but my monitor wont turn on. I think might be the connection cord (ive got a dvi connector with my gou, but because i dont have a dvi cable, im using a gva cable which is connected to my motherboard instead). I was told that i could connect the screen to the motherboard and have it work, but that seems to not be the case, am i correct? also, my new gpu gets the fan spinning for about 3 seconds, stops, and 5 seconds later starts again for 3 seconds, stops and 5 seconds later starts again. Is that normal?
