  1. Sorry, I solved that now. Still have the communication error.
  2. Used my PC just fine yesterday night. Boot it up today, and I get "Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer................ error 0xc00000e9" First I try reconnecting my sole storage device, nothing happened. Then I tried reconnecting my RAM, and now, my monitors get no signal despite being on. I suspect that the culprit may be my motherboard but if possible it would be great to narrow down the problem so that I know what to replace for certain. Any help is appreciated ***UPDATE*** I solved the no monitor output problem, that was my own stupidity, but I still have the device communication error. Specs: ASRock Z170 (don't know exact model) Crucial 1Tb SSD Intel i7-6700K Zotac 1070 1000w PSU EVGA Corsair Vengeance 16Gb RAM (2300MHz I think)

  4. I have my windows product key, and I want to clean install windows 10 onto my new SSD. My SSD has roughly 650Gb of stuff on it, because I tried to clone earlier from my HDD and it didn't work. Does my SSD need to be empty before clean installing? If so, how would I delete everything on my SSD?
  5. This really helps. Thanks. EDIT: I don't have my product key... I bought this HDD used a while back. Will this method still work?
  6. I bought a new 1Tb SSD, and it came with an Acronis True Image 2015 key. My HDD stores 700Gb, and is almost full. After trying to copy all my data from my old HDD, the SSD had everything but my OS. I booted off my SSD just after the data copy, I got the windows loading screen, and then my screen simply went black. I left that black screen for over a couple hours, but nothing happened. I've followed several guides, yet none of them solve my problem. I also tried unplugging my HDD, so my computer only recognized my SSD. Once it booted, I get the windows loading screen, and nothing more happens. It has been like this for two hours. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to ask any questions.
  7. Thanks, that helps, I have Acronis, but I don't know how to move the OS...
  8. That means I should factory reset my pc and move the OS right? Also, how would I move the OS? Sorry for the many questions.
  9. I just bought a 1TB SSD for my pc, meaning to fully replace my current 700GB hard disc. I have a SATA3 6Gbs cable too. I'm using a desktop, and Windows 10. I've searched for a while but can't find out how to migrate all my data from my disc to my SSD properly. I'm unsure how I should hook up my new SSD physically, and what software I should be using to migrate my data. Free software is certainly preferable. If someone could link me a guide, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  10. I bought an ASUS VG245h monitor, and the box says the refresh rate is @75hz. In the menu of the monitor, it says on the top left @60hz. Also, built in fps counter says 60fps. I used the connector cable that came in the box, and connected it to my relatively new pc with a new motherboard. Any ideas on what I might be able to do in order for it to display @75hz? Thanks. (sorry if I'm breaking any rules, I'm new) Edit: Thanks for the advice, my problem was fixed!
