I think a 3080 would then be “better” to buy since I’m planning to keep using the card for atleast 3 years in 1440p?

You think that a 3070 wouldn’t be able to handle 1440p? I’m really planning on using this card for atleast 3-4 years. And wanna make sure that I can keep running 1440p on new games in 2/3 years

I’ve got enough money But if the 3070 would be more than sufficient to run “every” game on 1440p I would happily spend a little less and buy the 3070

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking to upgrade my 1060 to either a 70 or 80 out off the 3000 series. I’ve currently got a i7 8700 as cpu and was wondering what your advice would be on what card to buy. I’m currently gaming on 1080p 144Hz but will upgrade later this year to 1440p 144-165Hz. I know that “real” benchmarks of the 3070 aren’t out yet and I’m not sure if my i7 would bottleneck the performance of the 3080. What do you think I should do?

I really have to take the laptop to school. And is the new g15 actually that bad? I read/watched some pretty positive reviews the only negative point was the cooling but that could be solved with some DIY and wasn't a big issue overall. The one thing I'm also "worried" about is size don't really know if 15inch would be too big

Ah that's my bad this is the one I meant for the 15inch asus-rog-zephyrus-ga502iu-al011t (also updated the post) The 15inch has the 1660 in it. The reason I'm buying one now I mainly because my pc is quite alright at the moment but since I won't be home that much anymore I figured I would just buy a "gaming" laptop.

Hey everyone, I'm currently looking for a new laptop but I needed some help/advice choosing the right one. Next "school season" I'll be starting my bachelor in Cyber Security which is the main reason I will need a laptop. But I'm also a regular gamer so the laptop should also have a "decent" gpu. I'm currently looking at these 2 models: asus-rog-zephyrus-ga502iu-al011t (15.6inch) ASUS-ROG-GA401II-HE046T (14inch) Because I have to drag the laptop to school every day in a backpack I'm not really sure what size I should pick. And ofcourse the bigger model has a bit more power to it. I hope someone could give me some advice on experience or anything else! Edit: I forgot to include some essential info.... I'm living in the Netherlands and these models are 1500eu/1560eu 1625,20usd/1690,21. These are also the only models that are available over here, the beavier version with the 2060 will never arrive here. And what kind of games? Mostly the newest games, escape from tarkov, cod MW, etc...
