Windows Admin passwords no longer works

Well that’s a lot of money down the drain then and I’m screwed for college, if I purchase a windows reset cd off amazon do those work? And can you atleast tell me how to boot to safe mode so I can check if maybe there’s malware already? -
Windows Admin passwords no longer works
Tonytechtonic replied to Tonytechtonic's topic in Troubleshooting
My other posts show I’ve been planning to build this pc for a while and I got the media creation tool tip from Paul’s hardware on YouTube , and I’ve been googling and sometimes shows windows changes the password to the Microsoft live password so I’m currently resetting that to hope it works and I also have the paper right in front of me in my room with the password I wrote down when first booting up windows to create a password -

I’ve just built my first pc and am using windows media creation tool as a temporary windows system until I can purchase a key later on today, so I was logged in and getting all the programs I needed downloaded and after updatingwindows I decided to restart and let the updates take effect, so now I’m at the windows log in screen as an admin as usual but the password that’s been working that I had set up no longer works , any ideas? I can’t get into my computer at all to change it and I didn’t create a password reset disk , any help would be greatly appreciated system specs: Ryzen 5 1600 non x (stock freq) msi b350m mortar arctic mobo 1x8gb ddr4 2666 ballistix ram xfx Radeon r7 250 gpu seasonic m12ii evo edition 520w psu 3tb hitachi 7200rpm hdd 240gb toshiba ocz tr200 ssd

Can a Ryzen cpu pc function without gpu
Tonytechtonic replied to Tonytechtonic's topic in Graphics Cards
Wow ! You’ve just reminded me I think I have a cheap used xfx r7 250 laying around that a friend was going to throw away ! Won’t blow anyone away but it should work for simple tasks , since I’m replying , to upgrade a gpu is it as simple as taking out this r7 250 and plugging in the 980ti when I get it? Or is there any additional steps? -
Hey guys, I have a simple question , I need my computer for college up and running ASAP , you can find the current build here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DFKd8K as you can see the only part I don’t have is a discreet gpu as of right now , with the spike in gpu price I decided to forego a gpu until the market stabilizes again , my question is if I built my computer right now without the gpu will my pc function as normal for other tasks pertaining to college , I don’t plan to game ( until those 980ti prices come way down) but I do need YouTube and other forms of playback , HOWEVER I am aware that the Ryzen 1600 doesn’t support integrated graphics of any kind on chip so would that affect anything performance wise or am I forced to buy a gpu if I want a pc that can handle any college related work?

Hey man I seen in your build you also have an inwin 101 , I have the 101c and I just wanna know did you have trouble with placing the io shield ? Because I’m trying to place it and it’s just not snapping into place anywhere , it’s quite frustrating , thanks! -

To my surprise I found a crucial ballistix ddr4 2666 1x8 for only 79$ which is well within my range so I just snagged that up with the intent to sell it later on in favor of a 2x8 kit of higher speed lap and perhaps less latency but for now it will do, now for a question on io shields, I may just be incompetent but I’m trying to place the io shield from the b350 mortar arctic into my in win 101c and it’s just not clicking , someone’s gotta tell me what I’m doing wrong because it’s extremely annoying as I don’t want to put enough pressure on it to snap it in half -

Would I see any frame drops due to only 8gb of ram? -

If you could explain this better that’d be amazing what does faster ram speed mean? -
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/744tm8 So here’s what’s ive built so far and what parts I have as of right now besides the 1060 because of course , the miners got me ? I want some of your opinions on whether or not I should get a Ryzen 1500x over a 1600 or vice versa , and also I’d like to discuss how big of a performance hit I’ll take only running a single 8gb ddr4 2400 (Newegg has a deal on them right now) ram stick in my pc over let’s say a 2x4 at 3000 and what recommended affordable sticks are available. I’m creating a 1080p 60fps build for mostly games from 2014 and below but I also need it ASAP for college and I’m short on money so I need to take shortcuts to get a functioning affordable pc as of right now and later on I can add an additional 8gb of ram and some extra features and what not, let’s discuss! Thank you! EDIT: just checked my link, please disregard that crucial ballistix ram I used it as a placeholder for the estimated cost , thanks!

Need Advice Building Pc (1000$ budget)
Tonytechtonic replied to Tonytechtonic's topic in New Builds and Planning
@herman mcpootis @SquintyG33Rs You guys agree with CGfrog advice? -
Hey guys , I’m building a pc and I need some advice on what parts I can switch to try and get the build under 1000$ or close without giving up very much to any performance. Aiming for a 1080p 60fps killer to play any game recently from 2017 and below . I’m going for a sleek white and polar ice blue theme for reference . I also plan on custom plasti dipping the 1060 backplate and front plate after disassembly. I need it as close to 1000$ because I still need to buy peripherals. I’m based In the u.s region , thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6Wk2XH
