  1. A low profile RAM but from different vendors allowed?
  2. It's not only the height that comes as problem but the width also. The width of the fan is slightly overlapped the 4th slot a bit so if I put the corsair ram there it will slightly tilted to the right because of the fan. Well what do you recommend other than move the fan slightly higher? As if my question is about adding a 3rd ram with maybe different brand.
  3. I think there is no way it can fit, I already tried it though but here is the shot I can't remove it from the case too much hassle.
  4. Okay thanks for your help and recommendation guys, RX470 it is then. I'll mark this as the answers.
  5. Hi guys I need help about adding extra RAM to my PC. I'm using Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC MoBo and DDR3 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Black PC12800 - CMY8GX3M2A1600C9. I am trying to add another 8GB to my PC but my limitation is my CPU Cooler is using Enermax Tower either ETS-T40-TB or ETS-N30 because this PC is a given to me prebuilt from my father so I cannot pick and choose the part. So with the Enermax cooler there is no way I can put another ram on the 4th slot (the slot closest to the CPU Cooler) so that only left me 1 more slot. Aside from the limitation from my cooler, I don't want to just replace my 2x4GB RAM or replace the CPU Cooler straight away since it is fairly new so I wanted to just add another one so it can reach 16GB because I'm using NoX Player while gaming another game a lot and 8GB is slowing me a bit. I'm aiming either using another DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Pro Black PC12800 1x8GB - CMZ8GX3M1A1600C9 which is around $61.73 and Gskill DDR3 Aegis PC12800 8GB Single Channel F3-1600C11S-8GIS $56.12 which one should I use and is it okay to use what is called Flex Mode in RAM? Because I will use slot Slot 2 for the new one. After doing a research about this stuff pretty much everything is a bit bizarre and no straight forward answers that's why I ask here. Thank you.
  6. Oh I shouldn't compare the two of those I guess, different tier by the looks of it. Alrighty then I'll stick with 470. Thank you.
  7. Okay I was making a conclusion to get RX470, but when I was about to go and buy it I watched a GTX 1060 3GB review. So I check on my trade in event and I need to add around $185 - $190 which is quite a lot and off from my budget actually, but my curiosity kicks in and so I ask here again and sorry for bothering you guys again. Should I just stick with RX470 which have a larger VRAM but loses at performance around 10% - 15% than RX470? I'm thinking in the future which is 2 - 3 years from now those 3GB maybe will be running low but then again in 2 - 3 years if I buy 1060 3GB now I will be changing in 3 - 4 years as well right? Now I'm having a bigger dilemma than choosing GTX 1050 Ti with RX470.
  8. Thank you for explaining, I know the prices for AMD RX470 outside of my country is cheaper but in my country the 1050 Ti OC is much more cheaper than the RX470, the price is around $80 cheaper. And which confusing me since the price differences in my country.
  9. Currently I'm playing Watchdogs 2, Farcry Primal, GTAV, Skyrim Special Edition, MGS5. But I'm also hoping my new gpu will be enough for another 2 years maybe. After researching a bit about AMD I noticed it doesn't have physX, since I'm a long user of Nvidia's products I need a bit insight on this as well.
  10. So after discussing a bit about the price, let's say if I only able to take Strix 1050 Ti OC will it still worth in a few years ahead or do I just push it and take RX470 OC version?
  11. Is it okay if I plug in my new gpu first then uninstall nvidia 's driver then install AMD driver? Or do I need to uninstall nvidia's driver before I plug in the new gpu?
  12. Thanks! Glad to hear that. Well, it's a trade in so if I want to get my new gpu I have to hand over the old one first. Will it work if I plug in the new gpu and then remove the nvidia driver while installing amd? Or should I install amd's driver first then remove nvidia's?
  13. Okay, do I need to fiddle on the BIOS when replacing? Or just plug in, install driver and everything is set?
  14. Thank you so I'll scratch 960. For RX480 in my country I need to add $236.31 more which is too much then I can afford. Tbh I have no idea where I can find a used gpu on my country. So if I'm switching from Nvidia to AMD is there anything I should do or know before I do the switch? Never do this switching before I'm afraid I'll break my PC because of different driver or something else.
