  1. Copy so I guess I'll get the 4080 over the 7900xtx. They are literally the same price here.
  2. I got the rest of my parts at msrp but the gpu and also the monitors they don't seem to adjust pricing here
  3. 7900 xt pricing is even more crazy. They normally sell for what the cheapest xtx sells for. 7800 XT I ddnt bother because I wanted to get as high of an fps as I can. So basically stuck with the 7900xtx and 4080 because they are priced literally the same. And with the pros and cons of the cards I really don't know what to choose. If the 7900xtx was msrp it would have been a no brainer.
  4. The 7900xt pricing is even crazier. It's basically the same price. Available ones run for $1160.00.
  5. If the 7900xtx and 4080 where priced the same at around $1230.00 would you still get the 7900xtx?
  6. If games keep coming out and are as demanding as cp2077 then I'll certainly need it. But really anything above say 150hz feels fine. The difference for me going from 144hz to 280 and 390 wasn't really noticeable i play alot of competitive shooters. I had a 390hz aopen fire but had to return in and got the 1440p 280hz instead because it was too much and I'm not planing on going pro or anything serious. Not much for used parts in the market here. Mostly just some 2000 3000 cards from Chinese miners and they are sketchy. Out of the 7900xtx and 4080 which would you choose if they where priced the same?
  7. In the Philippines can't say it's small or remote. But economically yes lol
  8. My bad I got the msrp for the XT not the XTX, its 23% above msrp. Well it's basically just I don't want to pay more it's msrp. I'd rather get the item closest to its msrp. I know it sounds crazy and maybe it is. I'll spend the money just not waste it on something that's over priced from its original price. Resolution is 1440p and I want to max out the 280hz of my monitor if possible Not really a high end person. 7800x3d X670 gigabyte auros elite ax 32gb ram Evga p2 850watts Do I need it? I mean idk I want to upgrade. I just want to play the latest games at a high fps.
  9. Planing on getting a new GPU. Was really debating between the 4080 and 7900xtx. The 7900xtx looked like a no brainer, cheaper, more ram for the future, faster(except for RT) and the new amd frame gen looked promising. Then I started looking at the market (I am from the Philippines), then I noticed how wild the prices are. The cheapest 7900xtx is $1,155.00 which is constantly going in and out of stock. The readily available ones go for $1,234.00. While the 4080 cheapest one is $1,287.00 and the avg price is around $1,322.00. I really wanted to try the 7900xtx but I don't feel like paying close to 25% more it's msrp. Feels like I am getting ripped off. Well I am getting ripped off either way lol. Now I'm leaning towards the 4080 because hey at least I'll only be paying 10% more than the msrp and with a gap that small i guess the little extra for RT(cyberpunk) would be ok? Also I'd like to do some live streaming here and then and the nvenc is nice, does amd have something similar to nvenc for live streaming? It just don't taste right paying way waaaay above msrp. Hell I am even considering the the 4090 now with these crazy prices. What would you guys do? Get the slightly better product but way out of the msrp. Get the 4080 because it's closer to msrp. Or fuck it, save up some more and just get the 4090? Will the 4080s 16g ram be enough in the future? Will my EVGA 850w p2 be able to handle the 4090 and will the connectors be enough or compatible? Also if your from the Philippines and know of a good deal pls let me know. Using avg prices and launch msrp 7900xtx is 23% above msrp 4080 10% above msrp 4090 15% above msrp (They run for around $1,834.00 here) Edit my bad I used the msrp for the XT instead of the XTX
  10. Do I have all the pins or connector things? I have a couple of 8pin pcie cables. I saw the requirements and it's a 16pin pcie so I just use 8 + 8? I don't need no adapter or anything?
  11. I got this the same time 9th gen intel cpus came out. 2018 or 2019 so around 4 to 5 years old.
  12. Ohhh hopefully I don't have to order or use that back plate thing. Ordering things like that in my country is a hassle.
  13. Wow thats great to hear. Thank you very much. I don't need to buy any other mounting bracket right?
  14. But is it compatible though? I am confused because some sources say it's only up to am4
  15. So I am planing on upgrading my system and I want to keep my old psu, it's a EVGA supernova 850 p2. I am getting a Ryzen 7800x3d and a RTX 4080/RX 7900 xtx depending on availability. Will this psu be able to power and plug into the new cpu and gpu? I still have all the extra cables. Will those cables be enough as well?
