  1. Thanks for the clarification between VID and Vcore, I thought that might have been part of the problem but I didn't know which was commanded voltage and which was actual. My confusion now lies in Aida displaying both of those values and they are identical. CPUz's output changes with LLC settings. Lower LLC settings show lower voltages across the board with CPUz but Aida's behavior doesn't change, no matter what I do.
  2. Hi, I am new to overclocking and have a i7-6700k and an ASUS Z170-E motherboard. I entered 1.300 volts in the bios with manual mode at 4.5 ghz and Aida64 says that it is running at 1.403 volts while CPU-Z says 1.328. I'm not very inclined to believe AI Suite 3 (it shows CPU temps of 58 degrees C when Open Hardware Monitor and RealTemp show 70), but it agrees with CPU-Z at 1.328v. All of this is while I'm running Aida64's stress test. Another odd behavior is Aida64 says the voltage drops to 0.744 at idle while the bios is still in manual voltage control and CPU-Z and AI Suite show 1.296. If I go back to stock clock speeds and put manual voltage at 1.200, Aida64 says 1.407 at load and 0.745 at idle while CPU-Z and AI Suite say 1.216 and 1.200, respectively. Am I correct that the voltage should stay at/around the entered voltage while in manual mode? Should I use another monitoring software? If so, recommendations are appreciated. Which voltage is closest to what is actually happening? I ask because I would like to stay below 1.35v for an everyday overclock. Thanks!
