  1. So I used the "InSpectre" tool to check if my system was vulnerable, it said that my system was meltdown protected but NOT spectre protected then I manually installed the kb4090007 update (Intel-validated microcode updates that concern Spectre Variant 2 [CVE 2017-5715 ("Branch Target Injection") , restarted a boom, now it says "yes" in everything (nice, I guess). The thing is, I'm still waiting for a new update for bios (z170 tomahawk) that's why I installed that update, but I also checked all of my installed updates and there was no KB4056892 which is the meltdown "fix" update. That's why it's weird, even without it says that my system is meltdown protected.. I tried to install it manually, but it won't let me. Should I be worried? *sorry If I wrote something wrong, english is not my first language, and sorry if this post is in the wrong topic :\
  2. Thanks, the only thing that I was worried about was condensation
  3. Bios temps, motherboard stayed at 22ºc all the time cpu was 23ºc and 24ºc
  4. My room temp is at 21ºc, in the bios the motherboard temp is 20ºc and cpu 19ºc, always one less degree than the motherboard
  5. When I stress test, the temps jumps from 16ºc to +40ºc in like a second. I installed this cpu yesterday, I really worried..
  6. I'm using a cryorig h5 universal, and I checked the temps with other programs but it was always the same. Those max temps we're reached with cinebench with 100% load. But those actual core temps... 12,13,11 and 10ºc are weird... to cold. I'm kinda worried. My room is cold too but not that cold I guess. Also, one more thing, I bought 3000mhz rams 16gb 2X8gb, and activated the xmp profile but instead of running at 1.35v like the advertised voltage, the voltage is at 1.37v... is that bad?
  7. So I just booted my pc for the first time after I build it. I bought 16gb ddR4 2x8GB @3000mhz. So I turned on the xmp profile to profile 1 the advertised one with 1.35v, I restarted my pc and I checked bios again, it says 3000mhz BUT at 1.37v instead of 1.35v.. Is something wrong?
  8. Well, I use after effects a LOT, and I also do 3d modeling
  9. Guys, I want to buy this rams: G.SKILL PC4-24000 3000MHZ 16GB TRIDENTZ SERIES CL15 But there's two different models one with timing of 15-16-16-35-2N and the other with 15-15-15-35-2N Links to both of them below: http://gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-16gtzb http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-16gtz What is better?
  10. Yes, of course it doesn't mean better performance in games, but you can see benchmarks in digital foundry testing, 2400mhz vs 3000mhz, and 3000mhz gives you 6 to 10 fps more.
  11. Guys, what is the best: 2400mhz CL14 vs 2400mhz CL 15 vs 2400mhz CL 16 2800mhz CL14 vs 2800mhz CL 15 vs 2800mhz CL 16 3000mhz CL14 vs 3000mhz CL 15 vs 3000mhz CL 16 I will buy 3000mhz CL 15 ram soon, but what's the difference, higher mhz gives more fps in games, we all can see benchmarks proving that, the thing is, will I lose perfomance if I buy Cl 15 and not cl 14 or cl 16?
