I have a MSI Gaming X M5 motherboard, an i5-6600k, and 16GB of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200 RAM.
When I try to turn on XMP and set the memory to the maximum 3200, the system either becomes unstable and blue-screens within a few minutes, or just doesn't boot at all. I increased the RAM voltage to 1.35 from the original 1.2, and it still didn't work. The system is perfectly stable, though, if I set the RAM speed to 3000 and the voltage to 1.35. What is happening with my system? I know that the extra 200 MHz will barely make a difference, but it still feels a bit weird that I'm not getting the full speed possible out of my RAM.
