  1. I've asked the company, (haven't heard back yet) but do you know for sure if I can detach the top plate and paint it silver?
  2. That's awesome! it's exactly what i've been searching for! The only thing is: Do they come in silver? Or do you know of a place I can get a compatible silver top plate? (Brushed aluminum)
  3. The keyboard I have doesn't seem to be able to swap switches, so I was going to get this one: https://www.amazon.com/Team-Wolf-Swappable-Customize-Mechanical/dp/B01G4PNNBC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1504236579&sr=8-4&keywords=team+wolf and change out the key caps and switches. Are the Kailh BOX Reds compatible?
  4. Hi, I'm trying to replace all the switches in my keyboard with the RGB silent mx cherry red switches. I can't seem to find any of the RGB version (someone on a post said there isn't a difference, but I don't see how the light would shine through an opaque switch) for sale anywhere. Can someone give me a link?
  5. I just found the Enermax Aurora Pro, but it seems to be Out-of-stock everywhere... I'll look into the Azio: Results: The only Azio I found that is silver/white has old fashioned typewriter style keys (am using a PC). looks cool, but I don't know how I feel about it. Thank you for the thought. Any more ideas?
  6. Hi, I'm looking for a keyboard with both a silver base and keys (granted I may need to buy the silver keys post), Quiet/silent would be nice. Any style at the moment, mechanical, tactile, membrane, whatever... just mainly want it to be completely silver... backlight would be a nice touch too.. Any leads?
  7. As an example. The builds I've done for the most part have been an i3 4130, 8GB HyperX Fury, Gigabyte Micro ATX B85 board, and a 256GB SSD, in a InWin CE 650 case (form factor). They run pretty well, but I noticed a computer made by someone else years ago with an ASUS ATX board (don't remember the #) 4GB kingston RAM, an SSD, and an AMD Phenom II black edition or something, seemed to run considerably better. (I don't think it has a GPU, but if it did it would be small and older) Do ATX boards run better because of power? Why would this matchup be this way? Is it just really well built and well matched hardware?
  8. I'm wondering what is a processor people would recommend for a general office type workstation. No heavy video editing, just plain old web browsing, document editing, emailing, file server accessing office computer. Ive mostly dealt with Intel, but have been impressed with some builds (and old laptops) I've used that have AMDs. I do know RAM and a GPU help a lot, (comments on those also gratefully accepted), but should I be shooting for more cores, GHz per core, L2 cache, etc? Been using i3 4130, and 4160s mostly, so not looking for an i7 level, but i5 (or AMD equivalent) isn't shooting too high.
  9. From what I looked at, the largest mobo it fits is ATX.
  10. I'm setting up a TestBench situation, and I am looking at different coolers. I am definitely looking at something that is very versatile with socket compatibility. I found a corsair H100i for a great price, however I am drawn to the Thermaltake artic liquid freezer 240 (4 fans, quieter operations). However, I was looking for something that would have the 775 socket compatibility. In the end I'm not sure if I will need this, and I could probably do without it. Really looking for people's preferences on some nice mid-sized coolers( I think anything in the 360 mm range would be too expensive) or efficient, but inexpensive ones. I will probably be looking on eBay and craigslist if there is a nice one that is too expensive up front new and see if I can get it cheaper in good condition. Looking to do some testing with some overclocking, but this rig will not be for gaming, video editing, etc. I am just testing parts mostly.
  11. I am getting a TestBench situation set up, and have quite a few different motherboards/CPU sockets I will need to be testing. Looking for coolers with a wide range of flexibility of socket compatibility. I liked the look of the cooler master V8, as it had the 775, 1156, 1151, 2011-3, (ones I know I will need) and several AMD socket types ( have a number of older AMD motherboards in our set up that eventually may need to be tested. I do not know what they are). My only concern is that it may be a little big if I need to swap out motherboard/CPUs frequently (difficult to install) and possibly, depending on the motherboard, difficulty at accessing the RAM slots etc. Does anyone have any other suggestions or thoughts
  12. Hi, i'm looking to purchase a test bench. I really like the look of the Aerocool strikeX. But after watching some reviews it seems like some of its construction may be a bit cheap/flimsy. The Lian Li T80x seems a bit more straight forward/basic but appears to be of a more solid construction. The T80X also supports radiator coolers where the strikeX does not (at least not inherently) Need something that will hold an EATX board. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
