  1. He listed it as "New other" and told me it was never used... I assumed it was working. I can ask eBay to step in if he refuses to exchange it right? He did not list it as "For parts or not working"...
  2. @Ithanul So I bought this GPU from ebay... "open boxed"... so most likely it came defective right...?
  3. I can tell it's the card... if I remove it... my computer boots up with no problem...
  4. Should I turn it on with the connectors like this? 2x 8-pin cables coming from the PSU that connect 1 of the 2 6-2 headers to the GPU? https://postimg.org/image/gcrs4535v/ https://postimg.org/image/xrc0cf0ar/
  5. Hmmm... maybe like burnt grease? Idk... the smell is weird...
  6. Hello everyone, My PSU came with some cables, and I have no idea if I am connecting them wrong, because as soon as I turn on my computer, it turns back off... and it may be my imagination, but it gives off a smell.. (not good). Relevant Hardware: -Corsair RM 650x -Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti (6GB) This is the cable (I have 2 of the same) https://postimg.org/image/5pee3g4nr/ https://postimg.org/image/g0qqw3wd3/ I had already booted my computer, and everything works flawlessly. I figured I would connect the ends both 6+2 PCI-E connectors respectively (they say PCI-E) to my GPU, and the end that says Type 4 to my PSU. Now, in regards to the 6+2 PCI-E ends, is there a particular way to connect them? Something like the main end to the right and the cable that branches off it. This is the configuration I used when I explained what's happening to my computer when it shuts off above. I really need some detailed help to know how to connect properly my GPU... Thank you for your help in advance! Cheers!
  7. LOLOLOLOOOOOOOOOOL OMG... dude... I can't believe I was not powering the CPU.... as you can see, one of the H100i v2 fans blocks the CPU ATX v12.... You can definitely say I am a n00b..
  8. Hello everyone, This is the first time I am building a system. I decided to buy the following parts for it: -Intel i7 6700k -Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 -Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 -Corsair RM 650x -Gigabyte 980 Ti Windforce -Ballistix Sport LT 16GB -Corsair Carbide 300R -Samsung 850 Evo SSD I wired up everything, and I made 100% sure of doing it right. After doing so, the only thing it does is starts up for a few seconds (no more than 5) and then it shuts back off. It keeps doing this until I manually switch off the PSU. I am attaching the pictures of how I wired up my build with no GPU installed. I'd rather get this going before installing the GPU on the motherboard. Could you please help me in diagnosing what I did wrong or what could be the cause of my computer not booting? Video of computer (please ignore the constant annoying sound in the background... it is my air conditioner): Pictures: (I think that I unplugged the CPU cooler to try to see if it was the cause in the photos, but it still behaves the exact same way...) https://postimg.org/image/wntcqqwu1/ https://postimg.org/image/dwrfgl29l/ https://postimg.org/image/530izhfax/ https://postimg.org/image/6w3fnt0hl/ https://postimg.org/image/edcn30q0p/ https://postimg.org/image/inraylv3t/ https://postimg.org/image/jrbfakfqx/ Could you help me please? Many many MANY thanks! Cheers!
