  1. Same noise as when I manually set them to 100% with msi afterburner.
  2. When I boot my pc my gpu fans spin at 100% for about 3-4 seconds. After 5-10 seconds I see my bios logo and after 15 seconds windows is loading. The fans goes back to a normal speed after these 3-4 seconds. So when I am either in my bios or windows it's fine. I didn't have this problem with my previous gpu (MSI GTX 1070) specs: Asus B450-I (latest bios) Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2070 super founders Corsair SF600 (80 plus plat)
  3. I was wondering if the MSI GTX 1070 gaming x and EVGA GTX 1070 hybrid ftw could sli. I'm pretty sure the MSI card is taller so a normal bridge won't work but will a cheap flexible one? This is not for a pc which I am going to use. Just wanna do some testing. I am selling my old pc and might put 2 1070s in if performance is good. Otherwise I'll sell one seperate.
  4. So I just finished building my first pc. But it’s a SFF build with a noctua l9a cooler. specs: Ryzen 5 3600 (Noctua l9a) corsair vengeance 3600 CL18 Asus B450-I My bios had ram voltage at auto (1.2V) and had the ram clocked at 2666mhz. I changed this to 1.35V and 3600mhz. I didn’t change anything about the timings. Did I do this correct? Could I improve on something? With the cpu I changed nothing. But it idles at 50C+ and the fan gets loud under a light load. Also the voltage is always above 1.4. I’d like to run my cpu as efficient as possible. Preferably at 4.0Ghz or higher, but 3.8 or 3.9 should be good enough for my games aswell. I also have a RTX 2070 which I have already succesfully undervolted. It’s now 10C (same fan speed) cooler with a 3% fps loss.
  5. One more question. Does this mean I will have to connect everything with this audio card. Or can the card be used just for the line in. Asking this because I use a Creative Labs sound blasterX G1.
  6. Thanks, I'll look into that. My pc has quite a few free pcie slots so that should be fine.
  7. This is the back of my MB, do you know which one?
  8. I was wondering if there exist something that could combine a 3.5mm headset connection from my pc (used for discord) and a 3.5mm headphone connection (iPhone or console) to one single 3.5mm output which I could connect to my headset. So in short: 3-channel + 2-channel -> 3-channel. I know the Astro mixamp is capable of doing this but would prefer not spending $140 if possible.
  9. So I was thinking about buying a 4k HDR monitor/TV to use with my PS4 pro and watch movies/Netflix on etc. When looking at the price the peak brightness of the display in nits equates to about the price in EUR. So the cheaper monitos with around 400 nits cost 350 EUR and 1000 nits about 1000 EUR. I was wondering if the difference in peak brightness would be worth it. I mean I don't even like it when my monitor gets bright (my monitor brightness levels are usually below 30%), but does a brighter screen make HDR work better somehow? Also, my main monitor is a 1440p gsync 165hz one which is connected to my desktop and I will probably still use for 75% of the time. So I'd prefer spending as little as possible as I only use my PS4 pro for exclusives and barely watch Netflix.
  10. So I have a Clevo N150RF laptop with a 62WH battery which can fully charge to about 50WH. With light use my laptop will last about 5 hours. So by my calculations my laptops total power draw is 10W. I've already gotten this number down by limitting cpu speed on battery and undervolting. According to Throttlestop my cpu package draw is around 1W on idle. So I was wondering if there was any other way of getting this 10W figure down. Then I read that a ddr3 ram stick uses about 3W. I have 2 of these (1600Mhz SODIMM DDR3 1.35V 8GB) for a total of 16GB. As i currently have a desktop I have no more need for 16GB of ram as I don't use the laptop for gaming anymore. Also I don't think losing dual channel will have any affect on my ability to browse and watch youtube videos. Does anyone know if taking out one of my ram sticks will improe battery life? Also, does my 965m still draw power even though I am not using it and have nvidia optimus? If so, can I fully disable it? And does a dvd drive use any power? I haven't used this thing for about t year and can replace it with an empty hdd caddy. Last question: Does a m.2 nvme ssd use less power than I 2.5 inch sata. If so I can replace my old 2.5 inch with a 960 evo.
  11. I have 2 monitors: Acer 1080p 144hz Acer 1440p 165hz G-sync I just tested what resolution both monitors could accept using HDMI and my 1080p monitor could do 1800p at 60hz and the 1440p could do 2160p at 60hz. I didn't try any higher than 2160p and 60hz as this was my goal. I did this testing to see if I could use a playstation 4 pro and play games at 2160p on my 1440p monitor instead of supersampled 1080p on my 1080p monitor. So my questions are: - Can I damage my monitors by playing at the resolutions? - Has anyone done this before with a ps4 pro or xbox one x and knows more about this? - 2160p on my 1440p monitor looked a bit strange, Like there was some blurry anti aa. Will this be the same with a ps4 pro?
  12. My xbox one s controller causes a lot of stutter in games when using it with bluetooth. When I use the cable, there is no stutter whatsoever. My wireless card is an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260. Does anyone know if there is a possible fix for this, or should I continu playing wired? Also, the games which I use my controller with, I really prefer playing with a controller over mouse+keyboard.
  13. So I bought my bose qc 25s in 2014 when they released and have never had a problem with them, untill i added a modmic a week ago and they left earcup where I attached the mic stopped working after a couple of days. So I was wondering if this was due to the modmic or just a crazy coincidence. I already contacted bose and suprisingly they are going to replace my qc25s but I still left wondering if the broken drivers has something to do with the magnet in the modmic. I researched a little around google and saw nobody with a similar issue. I will recieve my new qc25s in about 2 weeks and have no idea if I should use my modmic with them. I could also buy a sennheiser hd 598 and use that with the modmic or even return the mic and get a gaming headset. Again, I'm not sure if the modmic could even damage the hd 598s if I use it with them.
