  1. Forgive me if this is supposed to be in some other area but my phone only lets me post in general discussions
  2. Im haveing weird things being told to me by different software. My bois tells me im running at 3.93Ghz which fluctuates and sometimes jumps to 4.8Ghz the BCLK at about 100.20 which jumps to 130 ish. The gigabyte app center tells me my BCLK is about 99.4 and the CPU runs at 3.9Ghz while the Gigabyte version of CPU-Z says the BCLK is 99.8 and my computer runs at about 3.92Ghz which is what task manager sais aswell. CPU-Z and task manager also show my cpu multiplayer as fluctuating depending on the system load while the Gigabyte app center doesn't. The gigabyte software original said thy BCLK was the 99.8 but over night it dropped to the 99.4 so i droped my voltage out of fear. Im running it as 1.4v at the moment but am going to try and bring that down some more. I have a R5 1600. What software am i suppose to believe.
  3. Do any B350 motherboards support Pstate overclocking. I asked Gigabyte if there is a way to do it on my motherboard and they said "unfortunately when overclocking P-state is not supported with the new BIOS, this is based on AMD new rule and we will need to design our bios according to AMD rule" Thats is word for word what they told me is this true?
  4. Because the features i want are in that bios but not mine. Im not going to actually try. It was more of a hypothetical questions
  5. How disastrous would it be to flash my bios from the gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 to the one for the ax370 gaking 5? Im thinking ill have a brick if it even works.
  6. This is how i have mine set to get 3.85Ghz at about 1.5v
  7. It gives you more control over the ram frequency mostly, for me anyway
  8. Have you tried the gigabyte app center. They have an application for over clocking in the operating system called easy tune. If you dont have it you can download it from the utilities tab on the gigabyte support page for that motherboard
  9. I had this power supply from my old computer and just haven't baught a new one as it said it would be good. I can either get a new power supply or an aftermarket cooler. At the moment i cant get both
  10. Im not sure my mother board has load line calibration. Ill go through the manual and see what i can turn up
  11. 600 is recommended for the Graphics card. But pc part picker said I should be good so i haven't baught a new one.
  12. I can only seem to get 3.8Ghz on my core clock with my Ryzen 5 1600 system and to get that I barely have to touch the voltage. Once I go to 3.9 to prevent a blue screen during boot i have to up the voltage a bit. After that i can run aida 64 with no problem, but it doesn't seem to heat the processor up as much as running cinebench repeatedly. So when I do so instead of getting a blue screen, it looks like I lose video signal and my monitor dissconects while the computer is still running. This happens even after i have made the core voltage be at 1.36v. Is this a normal crash while overclocking, because im not getting blue screened. Or could it be my less wattage then recommend power supply. I need to know if i should get a better cooler or power supply to get a better overclock. Gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 R5 1600 16Gb DDR4 @2933 Evga 980Ti @1490Mhz with the voltage and power delivery slider maxed out. All on a 500W power supply.
  13. The top voltage offset seems to up my core voltage (dynamic vcore DVID) . The one under the advanced voltage setting. Setting it to +. 100 give me about 1.3v. Maybe im doing this whole voltage control wrong but thats what im doing
  14. I figured as much, it just seems a little ridiculous to have to put that in the warranty.
