  1. Windows 98 BAD, what, Anthony? What about it was bad?? And why did LTT leave out Win 8.1 in the video? 8.1 was awesome!!!
  2. Gaben what did you say here? https://youtu.be/BEqSHwk93lE?t=193 "It's based on VIA's Ice-seya core" ? o_o I can't find a core that sounds like the one you mentioned here in this list... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_VIA_microprocessor_cores
  3. please don't advertise mc.ltt.gg when that website is not even working/loading...... fix your stuff asap please
  4. @James Can the LTT team please open up that so-called "GTX 1060" and check out what's actually engraved into the die to finally find out if it's a GTX 450 ("GF106" would be GTS 450), or to find out if they even somehow removed/covered the engraving to cover up the actual GPU, and post photos of it in this thread, or even make a short tech-tips video with Linus or another LTT-person (Anthony?) about opening that graphicscard and checking out the die markings/size? Would be amazing to figure out how that wish.com GPU-seller actually proceeded!
  5. Uninstall windows updates from the day that this LTT video appeared? Microsoft might have patched something (in cooperation with Intel/Nvidia)?
  6. Dunno, maybe Windows updates after this Linus video was released changed something? What CPU u have? Did u do ALL steps in the video? Where u get this from? Own testing?
  7. Ok I guess I'll go with this one someda, assuming it won't break when I run my Ryzen 5 1600X on 4.0 or even 4.2 GHz (1.4v) https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370 Taichi/
  8. Thank you very very much! Where did you get this calculation from, though? And are there mainboards with temp sensors and some technology to "throttle" the VRMs to less amp? Or what would happen to a CPU if the amps drop by a little bit? Would it just calculate slower, or instantly produce wrong calculations and make the OS crash? Which manufacturers produce AM4 mainboards with 6 phases, are they available to normal users?
  9. Wait WHAT? I just thought risk of CPU being fried??? How would the mainboard die at 1.4 V ?? wtf
  10. LOL and now that Gigabyte X370 had boot problems, wtf, sometimes not even Bios appearing (no signals to monitor), sometimes Windows boots but suddenly black screens again. Returned it, gladly my AsRock A320 board is still working now and very reliable. Gigabyte, W T F...
  11. It's just a super short "thump" kinda sounds. Can this be changed to a more decent sound please?
  12. What about this one, this one appears to have connectors? What is to be expected of this card? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Zotac-P-106-Grafikkarte-NVIDIA-6GB-DDR-5-1060er-Chipsatz/283342398433
  13. then can you explain the ~ 20% cost increase of a mainboard in 2018 from back in 2016 or so?
  14. I was actually looking for helpful advice (website link with recommended OC mainboards for Ryzen 5 1600X), but I guess nobody here can help with that
  15. But that's the thing... what is production cost of a mainboard in china, something like 20, 30 $ probably? The amount of profit they want to make on it is ridiculous Also, I can still refund my AX370 if I want to.
  16. @bowrilla That's literally what I wrote JUST before the hwbot link... that is not my hwbot account!!! READ, thank you. Yes, sorry, I spent a whopping 80 $ (converted) on my AX370-M DS3H (was the cheapest X370 that I could find). So, is there or isn't there a website out there that recommends specific X370 boards or not? How would a non-championship-overclocker know which boards exactly have a (one or several, idk) "good" or "bad VRM" ? But I think I'm done here, will wait for either Ryzen 3xxx to release or get an i5 k version (maybe 6xxxK or 7xxxK, at least Intel CPUs overclock reliably, IF that didn't change since the i7 2600K that I got to 4.4 GHz no problem, back in the days)
  17. So, with the 3xxx I'll save those 15 € and not spend it on a X version CPU which doesn't even properly allow overclocking (be it the mainboard manufacturers or AMD, who cause this). Or I'll go back to Intel for better single-core FP + int perf...
  18. Well done, tech companies, well done... Not even a REASON stated why it's failing!! WTF GIGABYTE It worked fine yesterday on 4.00 GHz, now even 3.8 won't work anymore... Omfg
