I had an old model, the v6 GTS, stored form this old 775 socket era, I had to wiggle the mounting bracket with a mix of the 775 and 1156 positions so I could mount the tower, at least it uses regular square fans so replacing them shouldn't be an issue in the future, was about to order a water-cooling AIO but since I'm planing on building a new oc next year it felt like a waste of money at the moment

Hi everyone, quick question, do you think that it´s possible to buy a couple of fans for this cooler master v8 gts v2? first they look like they are asimatrical so i cant switch places between them, the front one is about to die, also a regular square one wont fit due to the mounting mechanism and the squareness will collide with the heatpipes on the bottom, i thought that maybe i could reshape a square fan with my angle grinder but im not sure it will fit, if i go full getto on this one, i could strap some zipties but at the cost of damaging the fins or even brake some, im looking into switch to water cooling just for fun and this could be an excuse but im not happy to throw a nice functional cooler. I´m using the v8 on my 7700k socket 1151 btw.

Hi everyone, i was checking some ram readings since i was suspecting XMP wasnt doing his thing, i build my rig in 2017 with this asus prime z270f gaming, i7 7700k and 2 8gb sticks of ddr4 2400 corsair vengance ram so i got 16gb total, in 2019 i bought another kit same size but the top speed was rated at 3000 mhz, i set all memory timings and speed with XMP to match the 2400 mhz modules that where runing in dual channel (slot A1 B1 for the older modules and A2 B2 for the new ones) you can see in the attachments the first 2 captures are from the first kit installed in slot 1 and 3, the second in 2 and 4, and the second kit says single channel.... is that a bug? what´s the deal? did i mess up? i´ve been working and building computers since 2005 until 2014 so i now some technical stuff, can someone enlighten me on this issue if there is any? i updated the BIOS to the newer non beta one, it was 0801, the newer one said it was for windows 11 support and said "beta state" at the asus site, BIOS shows target memory speed at 2400 and each module at that speed in the monitor tab, but when i switch to each individual slot stats shows the second kit with 2 speeds 2133 and 3000 only while the old kit shows 2133 and 2400

Hi, lately my coolermaster v8 gts was making some noise when the fans ramp up, after a dissasamble for proper cleaning i found that the noise was a couple of fins that got loose from the heatpipe, what could i use to properly attach them back? i was thinking on those engine heat sealer or the ones that the mechanics uses to seal the thermostats for the car engines, any suggestions?

well, the new msi line of laptops looks nicer that before, they just have the logo in red but you can find them in black, they dont have the "gamer look", i bought a GF63 THIN for light gaming and graphic desing on the go, after you adjust the fan curve i felt a pretty solid machine, the downside is the cooling, with only one fan, i think the GF65 has two fans, the keyboard is decent, not fan of the font they choose, but you can sell it pretty easy after you´re done with the computer when you return to your desktop

Hi everyone, i´ve had this keyboard form razer that i no longer use so i sold it, but even after delete the razer software and remove the device from device manager, "windows 10 update" keeps downloading updates for the device as "Razer Inc - HIDClass - 6.2.9200.16464" i dont have any other razer device, that keyboard was the only thing form razer that i had.

since last week i´ve been with this annoying thing, in the audio settings, in windows 10, last update from october 2019, the microphone shows activity when playing videos or games, i tried disable "listen to this device", uninstalling the drivers, reinstalling them, disable them, muting the speaker icon, the mic input still picks up the output audio, WTF PLS HELP i cant use any voice app to play with my friends, i have 3 headsets, the only one that doesnt show this problem on my 3 pcs is one steelseries flux, i have a kraken x lite, and a logitech g430, i tried pluging them with the usb soundcard that cames with the logitech headset, the problem persist, i tried using the 3.5 audio jack, same shit, but the steelseries doesnt do it, wtf is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????? im going insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, i have a regular xbox one controller with the wireless dongle pluged into my pc and i was wondering, does the elite controller works with the same dongle? or does it even work at all in the windows enviroment? i was thinking on getting one regular white themed controller and looked at the elite white one and after a research over internet i couldnt find anyone using one with the wireless dongle, i just dont want to waste time trying to get something to work and find out later that will never work

Hi, the battery on my m8 has swollen causing the screen to bend outside of the frame, the touch is a mess right now, not sure if is it because of the pressure from the battery and will be back to normal when i replace it or if i should order a screen replacement too, not the glass, the complete screen and the battery, what do you think? i mean the battery is a no go from the start, just dont want to tear down the phone two or three times, i´m trying to do it right the first one

the APU build is complete at this moment, i have to build the g4560 rig, so which gpu goes with each ones

i have this msi gaming x rx 470 4gb in with a pentium g4560, i ran some benchmarks and always see a 100% gpu and the cpu at 30% at most cases, never goes further 40%, i know they are synthetic benchmarks and doesn't reflect real cases scenarios, and i have this other rig, a amd APU a10 7850k as a htpc, i just replaced my g4560 for a 7700k, so the question is, should i use the 470 on the amd 7850k or should i get a regular geforce 1050? or get some used parts and use the g4560 with the 470 or 1050. TLDR; 1-g4560 with msi gaming x rx470 or geforce 1050 2-amd A10 7850k with msi gaming x rx470 or geforce 1050

it doesnt come with any cooler, and i dont have any air cooler for 1151

So, i was looking to get a AIO from corsair and cant decide, the h60 with one fan is like 45 bucks and the h80 with 2 fans 98 usd, which one should i get for a 7700k?

hi before i start i got a amd gigabyte sniper g1 a88x motherboard with a A10 7580k fm2 cpu, i had two ddr3 4gb (8gb total) hyper x fury working at 2133 (task manager showed 1866 mhz for some reason) and cpu z shows 1072-ish (since ddr i assume that its x2 so 2150-ish), i got two spare modules of gskill sniper 8gb (16gb total) that im using right now because i needed more ram and i didnt want to buy more sticks, so i strip the kingston for the gskill, set up the bios memory multiplier to 21.33 with A.M.P. off and X.M.P. off and cpu z shows the same 1072-ish speed but in the bios and task manager it shows 1333, not even 1866 that i had when the kingston kit was installed, inside the bios the current speed is greyed at 1333 for some reason, turning AMP or XMP on or off, even trying one off and the other on it wont change that, is there any error reading the speed with the apps or my bios isnt working with me? i flashed to the lasted bios i found on the gigabyte web.

well, i didnt know if AB would be compatible with the card, so i can just use AB for monitor without interfering the clocks that firestorm set before?

HI guys, i have a 970 zotac with his firestorm software for OC and fan control, i was wondering, since it doesnt have any way to show a OSD for the monitor screen tool, if MSI Aftherburner would conflict with my current setup in the zotac software, i just want to have a complete OSD to check what i need to touch so i can balance the OC for cpu/gpu/ram for a more balanced rig and try to reduce or detect bottlenecking

so i was looking to the xbox one controller with the usb wifi dongle for windows 10, and i saw that some come with a batery pack while others use AA bateries, do all the controllers come with this dual "AA batery" and "batery pack" conectors? so i can choose to upgrade to a batery pack or in case i cant plug it to charge or use it pluged in i could grab a couple of aa bateries and play?

I downloaded a new version of the firestorm soft from zotac to control my 970 and try to play with some gpu boost as i saw jayztwocents fooling around with it, it works fine, the problem is that since i set it up to start at system starts, i already give the program admin permit, the .exe and even the shortcut at the desktop, but still keeps asking every time i restart or turn on the pc, i dont know where else to look, its making me crazy

i have this old pc witch i turned into an HTPC but i want to leave it to my niece so she can play some games (she like the gta series and that kind of stuff, not interested in quality graphics settings but in good games with gameplay in general) it got a intel Q9500 cpu @ 2.9 ghz, an asus p5qc motherboard, with 4 gigs ddr3 1600 mhz in dual channel, one 500gb wd hhd, and a 212 evo coolermaster cpu cooler, my question is, witch gpu is the best for this old pc so she can play some games, at 720p or maybe 1080p, i got this old samsung 18" monitor to give her as well that doesnt get upto 1080p, but just in case she can ask to her parents for a new 1080p new monitor it would be nice that it could handle that screen resolution, i got this old evga 570, but dont know if i should throw it and get a readeon (im aware that most of the gpus will get bottlenecking by the cpu), so, i dont know what to do
