I think new surface pro or surface laptop is a good choice, they are both thin and light ,so it is great for taking to your class. besides,they both have a long battery life. Hope this is helpful for you?

I think XPS 15 is a better choice Since you major in CS,I think you wil need a better CPU for heavy processing,so i would suggest XPS 15 (come from a student major in EE)

I found that Dell G3 is very cheap.But I have a question. Is its cooling system is powerful enough? Or it just is a laptop which is filled with powerful hardware?
