  1. Thank you, I was aware of services and how to disable them, I was just looking to see which ones I could disable. As you noted, most are pretty critical to run, so I guess this is mute point anyhow. Given how many services there are and how unlikely it would be for anyone to have a list, this is the reason why I asked if there is a program to disable all not completely necessary processes for me. This is honestly more of an OCD issue anyway I realized, it wouldn't help system performance nearly at all. Thank you for your help I realized a little late that I should just put up with it anyway.
  2. Windows always has hundreds of background processes running. Which ones can the computer function without(bare minimum), and is there a program to stop the processes for me? Any help is greatly appreciated
  3. Great recommendation. I was initially drawn to this case, but what really turns me away is the size, it feels really crowded. As well as the fact that it is literally a rectangular prism, I am more looking for curved edged, more similar to the 909. It's really picky and specific I know, but i suppose that's why I came on here to ask.
  4. I had definitely looked at this one as an option. I was at first turned off by the front panel and its shape, but the more I dwell on it the more I don't care / actually start to like it. One more thing about this case is the motherboard tray, it's a bit messy with the ssd mounts, contours in a lot of places and the many holes in the tray letting light through. I'm sure its nothing a little plasticard and modding could fix, just initial concerns.
  5. I have long been on a quest to find the most minimalist PC case. A quality aluminum build, basic elegant square shape with curved corners, and a full tempered glass side panel, love the look of the outside of the inwin 909. Inside would have flat and empty motherboard tray, no extra frills, just an elegant, quality, and satisfying interior, something similar to the LIAN LI PC-O10WX or ttl's modification of the mastercase 5 for his ryzen rgb build in this video. It would be a full tower. My beef with the 909 is its odd layout, the hard drive cages at the top, and the many holes in the tray that make the backside of the case visible. Any existing case that resembles these traits closely or am I only dreaming? Would I be better off modding an existing case like the 909 or building a custom case? Any comments appreciated.
  6. Physical PA? Also what is there to know about Dolby Atmos? Any useful information? best approach? Where does it come into play?
  7. Any headphones or IEMs to wear in bed or you can fall asleep while using? Or something you can forget you are wearing? Great sound quality is a plus. Any suggestions?
  8. The bass shakers are sounding like a really viable option. Question though, do they really provide the same whole body feel like a sub does, or does it basically turn your chair into a massage chair? Which is better for the immersive experience I suppose is what I'm asking.
  9. I got to thinking about sound design and its effect on immersion and 'feeling' what's in the game. I used to have a quality home theatre sound system that had a beefy 10 inch sub; and whenever I were to play a shooter, or any action game with explosions for that matter, the one thing that stood out the most or I felt the most was the punch of the bass in my chest or whole body. Or, for example, in battlefield when a helicopter were to fly over, feeling the rumble as if you were there to experience it. It always added an element of weight or meaning to what was happening on screen, if something was large and looming or threatening because of sounds it made, then it felt that way, you didn't have to be convinced by it looking that way. The point is, I have headphones that I use instead now, as the subwoofer has since blown multiple capacitors; and although they have an amazing bass response and clarity and frequency range, they do not pack the whole body punch that a separate sub does. How do I get this element of immersion back? Feeling the rumble in the chest or whole body, the concussive feeling of explosions or shots, or simple thunder rolling in the distance. I'd want to keep using my headphones, so not just go back to the home theatre system, but still get the effect. Is there any way to get the feeling while still using headphones? Maybe get a sub by itself and somehow duplicate the lower frequencies to play at the same time as my headphones? Or is there something other than a sub that can give you this experience? Any notes or comments or discussion is appreciated, thanks.
