So here's my current build:
CPU: AMD FX-8300 3,3 GHz
GPU: Gainward GTX 970 1050Mhz
MB: Asrock 960gm-vgs3fx
Storage: 120GB SSD and a 500GB HDD
Ram: Adata 8GB (1 stick) 534Mhz
PSU: Aerocool 650W
Case: Mars gaming MC2V2 ATX
And here are my ideas regarding the upgrade:
CPU: AMD FX-8300 3,3 GHz - Get an I5-6500.
GPU: Gainward GTX 970 1050Mhz - Keep it.
MB: Asrock 960gm-vgs3fx - Buy a MB with a 1151 socket and with 2(?) channels for RAM.
Storage: 120GB SSD and a 500GB HDD - Keep them, no need for more room.
RAM: Adata 8GB (1 stick) 534/333Mhz DDR3 - Now, I have no idea what is up with my RAM. In Speccy the frequency is 534Mhz and in Task Manager it is 333Mhz. I'd like to upgrade to a DDR4 8GB stick with a frequency compatible with the new MB and in the future get another stick.
PSU: Aerocool 650W - No idea what to do, it has performed well so far.
Case: Mars gaming MC2V2 ATX - Upgrade, it has very bad airflow and poor cable management options. I'm thinking about the Zalman Z9 Neo.
My questions:
Is it a good idea to get a 2 RAM slot MB and put 2x8Gb there or get a 4 slot MB and put 4x4GB there?
Is the Zalman Z9 Neo a good case?
This is the first time I'm upgrading my PC, what are your opinions? My budget is 450-600 euros.
Thanks!
