  1. The one you linked is also a Sata interface drive, not NVME.
  2. Thanks for the feedback! Gonna go with the evo then.
  3. It's not about capacity, im looking specifically for an NVME M.2 2280 spec drive. That's a sata III.
  4. Realistically would I be able to see any real world performance improvements between these two SSDs? Im building a super high performance small form factor PC and if there isn't a noticeable benefit to going with the PRO, i'd just save the money and buy an EVO. Capacity is 500GB if that matters.
  5. I managed to grab a Dan Case A4 SFX before they sold out on Wednesday morning and am planning a very compact build with a Core i7 7700(non-k) and a GTX 1080(already have). I was wondering what the best low profile CPU cooler would be to use given the space constraints in this specific case, and if there was any real point in not using the stock intel cooler? Case: https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4.php
  6. Can't play with you technically, (I'm SR ~4140) but i'd be happy to review some of your gameplay if you really wanted to be proactive about trying to improve.
  7. Im probably holding out until Intel decides to get off their asses and show real improvement or it becomes a requirement to run something I need. Anyway thanks again!
  8. Well thank you all for your input, mainly wanted opinions on its viability. I probably will just stick with what i've got then and look into this again whenever I do get around to updating my CPU & Board.
  9. I wanted to know whether it would be possible to theoretically use an NVMe M.2 SSD such as a 960 evo as a boot drive on an X79 system. I'm using a Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard which has no native M.2 slots, so what issues, if any would I run into when trying to use one of these SSDs as a boot drive over an PCIe card with an M.2 slot?
  10. Im currently running a triple monitor setup, (2x) BenQ Xl2420Z and (1x) BenQ XL2420G with this monitor stand http://shop.ergotechgroup.com/triple-monitor-stands-tw . The issue is that the base of the stand is too large and that to have my mousepad(Zowie GS-R) lie completely flat it needs to be extremely far to the right. I was wondering if anyone had similar issues and knew of a resolution other than a desk clamp mount for the stand which would leave the monitors way too far back on my desk. Also I apologize if this isn't the proper section to be asking about this, I just didn't see a better place to post. Any advice is appreciated.
  11. I've recently been bumped up from a 100/35 plan to a 300/35 plan from my local ISP and to go with it i'm looking for a good 802.11ac compatible router. I know that there was a ton of buzz around the Linksys WRT1900AC when ac was fairly new, but i've not paid much attention to the market since. In short, looking for top notch router recommendations.
