Thanks for the recommendation but I think I'll still stick with 27" for my desk is too small.
There're still a few months till my upgrade and I'm still considering pg279q.
I want to upgrade my current monitor to an ips 1440p 144hz and came down to the options between asus mg279q and pg279q.
My current graphics card is ASUS gtx 1080ti o11g.
My question is how much benefit would I gain from G-Sync and if pg279q is actually worth the $250 difference.
Well, according to this site "https://rog.asus.com/articles/gaming-graphics-cards/asus-announces-rog-strix-and-turbo-geforce-gtx-1080-ti/", ASUS' cards will be out "from?" mid-March.
Well, it's old, like RVE, and pricey, like RVE10. I would probably not have considered RVE10 if other cheaper boards didn't have so many negative feedbacks.
I'm building a new pc and got almost everything ready. I'm more of a fan to ASUS and would likely prefer ASUS motherboards over others. I have been looking at reviews of different motherboards and couldn't decide on which one to buy. So I came here hoping for suggestions.
The price is somewhat of a factor since I could just save up for a few extra months while living on a laptop.
The options are the new X99 motherboards:
Rampage V Edition 10 (Less negative reviews but super expensive)
Deluxe II
X99-A II
Strix x99 (Lots of negative reviews but might be decent if it works?)
Rampage V Extreme (old (probably outdated) but is on sale XD)
I know high-end boards has no significant effect on performance, but I want a reliable board.
New pc spec:
CPU: i7 6850k
RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ
Cooler: Corsair H115i
GPU: GTX Titan Black (From previous pc and will upgrade later)
Storage: Samsung 850 evo 500GB + WD 2TB Black
PSU: EVGA Supernova P2 1200W (Overkill I know :p)
Case: Cooler Master Mastercase maker 5 (I believe it should fit EATX boards like RVE10. If not then will consider other chassis)
Thanks for any advice.
