  1. Honestly at £861 the 6800 XT is just too much of a stretch budget wise. Is there a reason you went for the ryzen 5 7600 over the 7600X?
  2. Thank you. Unfortunately I bought this monitor 5-6 years ago before I knew any better. If I went with a budget of £850 what could I achieve? edit: PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/6LDtL9 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor (£196.96 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (£18.00 @ Computer Orbit) Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M DS3H Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard (£113.99 @ MoreCoCo) Memory: ADATA XPG Lancer Blade 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (£105.06 @ NeoComputers) Video Card: XFX Speedster SWFT 319 Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Video Card (£392.17 @ Amazon UK) Total: £826.18 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-12-19 23:31 GMT+0000 This list seems quite good for my pc, what are your thoughts?
  3. Budget (including currency): I have about £600 to spend. Though I could extend this if necessary Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: LoL , Runescape, Apex, Csgo, valorant, Cod warzone - some other AAA games System specs: -i5-6600k 3.5ghz -RX480 strix 8gb 16gb ddr4 ram - samsung 850 evo 250gb ssd - Crucial P2 1tb SSD -asus z170 motherboard -evga g2 650watt psu -Aurora Fenix case -BenQ zowie 1440p 144hz -- Getting issues with more modern games like Apex and warzone where i'm unable to get fps above 80+ even on the lowest settings. I would like to upgrade my PC as all of these parts were purchased over 6 years ago. Budget is a bit flexible. I can save up some more if you think it's worthwhile.
  4. Fair enough, but say this was another brand than Corsair, in my position would you go for the 48gb c16 or the 32gb c14 at double the price?
  5. Something that has just come to me as an idea (Im not sure if this is possible) Is to instead buy him the same ram he has, but 2x 16gb sticks instead, giving him 48gb total It seems quite a waste to replace his ram as I believe the tridents only moderately faster Looking at these: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/32gb-2x16gb-corsair-ddr4-vengeance-rgb-pro-white-pc4-25600-3200-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-16-xmp-20-135 Whats your thoughts? I dont know much so the help is really appreciated
  6. Thanks! Should I buy 4 sticks of the 8gb flare, or 2 16gb sticks of the trident? I think the flare is cheaper
  7. Cant get 3600 in my price range i dont think.. Are either of these any good? https://www.memoryc.co.uk/19716-32gb-g-skill-ddr4-trident-z-3200mhz-pc4-25600-cl14-14-14-14-34-1-35v-dual-channel-kit-2x16gb.html?fc=GB https://www.memoryc.co.uk/22041-16gb-g-skill-flare-x-ddr4-3200mhz-pc4-25600-for-amd-ryzen-cl14-dual-channel-kit-2x8gb.html (Can I just buy this twice and install 4 sticks to have 32gb?)

I would probably choose the first one just off clock speed
  9. My brother has this build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/X6HWcq He uses a lot of ram for gaming (minecraft servers etc, using a lot of ram) and hundreds of browser tabs. I want to buy him some RAM for christmas as he talks about it a lot but i'm really not sure where to start. I assume DDR4 would be better value than DDR5. I am in the UK so would be best to consider UK prices. Budget is £60-100 or so. Could add a bit more if its worth it Thanks guys, merry christmas
  10. Hi, how can I disable SMT in my bios? I am having a stuttering issue with League of legends and this apparently fixes it. I looked all over and cannot see it mentioned. System specs: -i5-6600k 3.5ghz -RX480 strix 8gb - samsung 850 evo 250gb ssd - Crucial P2 1tb SSD -asus z170 motherboard -evga g2 650watt psu -Aurora Fenix case -BenQ zowie 1440p 144hz Can I do it?
  11. Thanks I really appreciate that. I've seen a Intel Core i7-12700F 2.1 GHz 12-Core Processor for only £297.47 , would this be a worthwhile upgrade over the i5? This processor is usually £315+
  12. Also guys is there a case you recommend? I can add to my budget. I think mine has poor air flow and i'll likely have to rebuild the entire PC anyway when I give it a deep clean
  13. I'll have to double check what brand of ram when I get home but It's definitely 16gb ddr4
