  1. It took my some time to get the cable to stay in the connector and logic board, and after messing with it for 10 minutes, i still have no idea if it went into the connection all the way, since there is no click when 2 meet. Battery is brand new (supposedly. I have no real tools to test it outside of the phone)
  2. Unfortunately. Just never really had a need. But right now gonna either find a friend with one, or just order and return from Amazon. And the red light charging thing is true for G2 too. But the difference for this case is that it's blinking, while during regular charging it's just glowing in breathing mode
  3. Hi everybody! Yesterday I've attempted to replace the battery on my rusty LG G2 (which I love a lot). After the installation, I've given the phone some time to gain some charge, but straight from the first connect to the wall, the LED began blinking red (never seen that before). Holding down the power button for 6-7 seconds (longer than usual boot), just shows blue screen, which can only be turned off by unplugging the phone. I've done some research online, and it appears to be a somewhat common issue, but the solutions vary drastically, so I need help. Here's what I've tried: 1. Holding down the power button + both volume down and up (separately), in attempts to soft reset/hard reset the phone. 2. Disassembling the phone again to see if all the connectors were connected to the logic board, including the battery connection. 3. Reconnecting the battery connector 4. Letting the phone rest and "charge" for a long time to see if the issue would go away by itself. From what I've read, at least one of these would usually solve the issue, but it didn't. What I think is happening: 1. I don't think the battery is damaged or bad (just a hunch. bough from a reputable seller; brand new, wasn't damamged, and was an original LG battery, looking identical to the original that I've pulled out from the phone). 2. I don't think the logic board or any of the connectors got damaged during the fixing process. I was extremely careful with everything and because the phone posts (shows LG screen), I'm assuming at least the screen works. My last guess is from something that I've read, but I don't have the knowledge to know if it's true. Some people pointed out that when they had the same issue, the solution was to "jump start" the battery. They said that the original charger wasn't able to provide the voltage to a completely empty battery (i.e. the current was under-volted for the battery), and they needed a battery bank to get the battery going. Can anybody testify to this claim, so I could at least had some hope that this issue could be fixed? I' will welcome all solutions if someone has experience with LG G's models. Thank you!
  4. Just Windows, but maybe in bios too. Which setting in Bios would it be on a Asus 170 board?
  5. My computer has been waking itself up from hibernation for the last 4-5 months. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what made it do it, until someone recommended me to run cmd command showing last wake up info. Turned it, every single time it was ASMedia USB3.1 eXtensible Host Controller. I've done a lot of googling trying to sort the matter; updated the driver for this (and others) controller, but nothing seems to help. Can anyone recommend a solution? P.S. I made sure to tick the mark "do not allow this device to wake the computer up", so it's not it
  6. Thanks everybody! It was Puget Systems. Those guys have SO many articles on their website with a ton of research - exactly what I needed!
  7. Hi everyone, I'm looking for a specific video from LTT channel that, if memory serves me right, went up within last 6-7 months. It was one of those "Linus going places" vlog, where he went to a Lab, I think in WA (not sure), that specializes in trying different hardware with different software and writing blogs about what works best. For example, they try Premiere with different CPU's (AMD vs Intel), and then write those recommendations. I'm not sure, but I think that place also assembles custom rigs for sale. If anybody knows which video I'm talking about and can help, I would appreciate it a lot ! Thanks!
  8. 1. It doesn't even have an OS on it yet 2. No it doesn't. Basically black screen, monitors go back to sleep as if they don't recognize any source of vidiya
  9. If the case didn't come with reset CMOS header, do I just shorten 2 pins with a screwdriver?
  10. Is there anything else I can do to make sure that it's my CPU that needs RMA? I don't want to go thru the process if at the end of the day it's my MOBO
  11. Hello everybody, Over the course of November I've been buying parts for personal rig and yesterday I've finally had enough time off work and school to put it all together. After about 4 hours of building and minor cable management, I decided to boot it up without GPU to make sure it POSTS and I can update BIOS and OS on it. What the PC did is, it turned on - all the fans were working, the "power on" LED on motherboard lit up green, the general LED along the board worked, but there was no video output. What I have tried as of yesterday: Different monitors with different cables (VGA, DVI, HDMI) with different combinations Tried different combinations of RAM in DIMM slots (only 1 in each slot, 2 in different slots and etc). From what I've read, that's the first step to troubleshooting it Tried holding the power button on the front of the case for 30-60 seconds while disconnecting PSU from the wall cable (random suggestions from Tom's) Tried installing GPU and checking if the graphics would go thru it - no luck. After hours of doing this I was extremely tired and upset and I'm looking for someone to help me solve this. Nobody ever tells you how hard it is to align the IO shield with the motherboard because of all the metal on it (shield), and I've started reaching the breaking point about half way through the build just because of IO. Unfortunately this is the only PC in the house so I don't have any other system where I can check the components one by one, and the 1 month return on CPU (if it is the problem) has expired as of today. I'm desperate for help, and would appreciate any advice.
