  1. Hey guys, just a quick question. I have just upgraded my PC from an intel i7 6800k to an i9 10900x, this is what I have: Intel core i9 10900x NZXT Kraken x62 32gb RAM DDR4 3000 mhz MB Asus Strix x299 e gaming Asus Strix 1080 ti What I want to know is if the temperatures that I'm getting are normal for that CPU. In idle I'm getting around 39 to 43°C, while Im playing (Specifically CoD MW) at arround 30 - 40% usage, 47 to 52°C, and when I'm rendering and the CPU is at 100% it goes up to 58 to 61°C. I think that the temps while rendering are quite normal, but I did the comparison with a Ryzen 1950x on idle with a Corsair AIO and that was around 33 to 35°.
  2. The on my PC right now, the one I've always had, is the MSI X99 SLI Plus, paired with my cpu i7 6800k, it was working fine 2 hours ago. I try to change it for an i9 10900x and a Mobo Asus ROG x299-E Gaming, and it didn't post. Apparently its because the RAM higher than 3000 mhz, right now I have 2400. So I put back my old PC (the x99) and now it doesnt turn on
  3. An Asus x299. But the PC turned on just fine, it was when I put back what had when it didnt started anymore
  4. No, sorry I didn't specify. I change the CPU and the Motherboard. But kept everything else
  5. 8-pin, the thing is that it was working fine like 2 hours ago, even with the new CPU it started, it just did post
  6. Hey guys, I'm having some troubles here, I tried to upgrade my PC from an i7 6800k to a i9 10900x, but it didn't boot. After a while it seemed to be that the issue was with the RAM being below the one accepted by the CPU. The thing is that I put my old PC back together and now, even if the On button on the Mobo is lights green (MSI X99 SLI PLUS), when I push the start button, both on the case and MOBO nothing happens. Maybe I'm missing something here
  7. Yes every driver is install and I reinstalled windows butnstill my games dont run properly
  8. Thanks for replying, I just reinstall windows and everything works better, except for my games, they still crash as soon as they start
  9. Hi guys, I encountered and issue and can't seem to find the solution. My PC had an Intel i7 6800k and its respective mobo, I just switch to an AMD 2950x, which I will use primarily for work but I also game on my PC. Everything seemed to be fine, I reinstall almost everything except for Windows and what I had on my SSD, however the thing is that I can't play any game as all of them crash as soon as I open them. I really hope any of you can help me Thank you.
  10. Hello, I have a question which might sound dumb, I built a PC but ended selling all the parts separately, I did install windows on that PC, the activated version. The only thing that I have left is the hard disk now, so, what happens to that hard disk? I mean, speaking about the OS that I installed on it, does it continues functioning on any other PC in which that HDD is installed?
  11. Hey guys, I find myself in a situation here, I want to change my CPU for a one with more cores and I have been watching videos of the Threadripper line from AMD and they seem to be a good value product with good quality, so I'm looking for a 1950x, the issue here is that all of the x399 motherboards have a lot of mixed reviews, where the good ones are okay but the bad ones are because of big issues, however, x299 motherboards, as expected, I guess, doesn't seem to be struggling with that problem because all of them have mostly excellent reviews. The thing is the most I can spend is for an i9 7900x. So which route should I go? I use my computer for 3D rendering, modeling, and gaming. But it`s mostly for work.
  12. Hello, the thing is that I have a new graphics card, a GTX 1070, and I use the MSI Afterburner to control the fan curve, and I set it up to start the fans at 35°C aprox. It's the first time I have GPU and my question is: Why is it that when I start rendering my project the fans don't start spinning even though if I open the afterburner the temperature shown is above 35, and while the program (MSI) is open the fans are on, but as soon as I close it, they stop, even while the render is still going on. Also, I've notice the CPU fans slow down a little too during the rendering. I use Vray in 3Ds Max.
  13. I'm looking for a new display for my setup, and I can't decide between these two, Asus MX239H or AOC i2367-FH; I use my computer mostly for productivity, such as 3D modeling, rendering and image editing, but also gaming, though the graphic quality for gaming is not too much of a concern. My graphics card is a GTX 1070, because I'm planning on upgrading the monitor to a 4K on the short run. Hope you guys can help. Thank you.
  14. I want to build a PC both for gaming and productivity (3D modeling, rendering, design apps, etc), and I'm between these to CPU's, Broadwell i7-6800k and Skylake i7-6700k, the motherboard is an Asus X99-A II, and the GPU is an EVGA 1070, however, I'm not sure which of those CPU is the best option as the broadwell has more cores and cache, but the skylake works at a faster speed.
