Let me make it clear, I am no PC expert. But the battery life is only a seeing point based on your intended use. If your planning on just surfing the web then you'll see that 6 hour span, but if you think your going to play a game somewhere then your still going to have to lug around the charger. But just looking reviews from the two I would say the Alienware 13. Both run really hot but the Razer does more so then the Alienware which means the Alienware will last longer. My personal suggestion is to save the $100-$200 dollars to get the New Alienware 15 with the GTX 1070 GPU and a bigger screen. But if your really set on the 13" display then it's more of a toss up of whichever you think looks better and what you intend to use the laptop for. If your like me and your going to game on the go your just going to end up grabbing your charger by nature anyway. Hope this helps.

I don't know if you ever go your answer but I have a Belkin shoulder bad for my laptop that is about the same size. It's a tight squeeze but it's cheap and from amazon. How do you like the Predator 17, I was thinking about getting one of the updated models.
