I do have a quad, a 9650 actually, and i can run every game other than gta 5 no problem. That's why i think ram is an issue. So ill try 4gb instead of 5 and test it, and ill update this post when i get the chance to try it, and also, will 4gb of ddr3 run better that 4gb ddr2? I figured it might make a difference

Welli noticed gta 5 runs really bad on my pc, and i have a bit more than adequate specs, and i couldn't think of any other thing but the ram, i haven't tried running gta 5 with the 4gb instead of 5gb, but i feel i really need 2 more 2gb sticks for the rig

My pc has 2 2gb sticks of ddr2 in dual channel and i have an added 1 1gb stick of ddr2. The motherboard only has dual channel, and i was wondering if the extra 1gb is increasing or decreasing my performance.

I have a pci modem from the early 2000s and i was wondering if there is any usefulness for it in 2017? Ill attach a picture of one below.

Thin clients are neat lil things. Honestly if i was doing what you were doing, id get a p4 sff machine. much more power for around the same price. if you look arround the $100 or above, you can get a Dell Inspiron 410 Zino HD, which doesnt run embedded windows and the ram and hdd can be upgraded

As the title says, Im wondering if i should bump up my ram to the max my motherboard supports (8gb). My games all already run well with 5gb, however, gta v does struggle. Should i uprgrade? How would I connect the fan power to the card?

My settings and start is broken on my main user account and I cant access my settings at all as if they disappeared from that account, however, I created a second account, and I can access everything perfectly fine. How should I fix this issue? I don't want to have to install all my programs over again and move heaps of files. Is there a way I can use the user I created and move my exact settings and data onto that profile so everything is the same? Edit: I can access settings from the notification center and from links to setting s from places like control center. I think it maybe just my start menu is broken. Any way I can fix the start menu?
