  1. How does this card fit? Did you have to use low profile PCI-E connectors as well?
  2. The website of Dr. Zaber Sentry does tell a slightly different story for vertical oriented units.
  3. I just tried the Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Mini in the Zaber Sentry, with the case open in vertical position. I can't say I am convinced. The heat seems to be blown inside the case, dissipated via the back, right on the spot where @Masada02 mounted his SSD's. The side with the ventilation holes seems only to be used as intake. Even with an open case the card seems to be throttling almost immediately.
  4. How did you make it fit? I've just received the Zotac 1080 Ti Mini (this one from Amazon.de) and I cannot make it fit. If I plug in the power connectors the case cannot close anymore...
  5. My white Sentry arrived about 3 weeks ago and after some hardware struggles is up and running now. First time I got a postcard from Poland!
  6. Update: I've finally managed to score a motherboard speaker and connect it. The results is 8 short beeps which seems to indicate Display memory video card read/write failure error. I've tried two different GPU's so far (both confirmed working in another system). Is the motherboard broken?
  7. @TheSneakinSpider I've checked and the monitor is working properly via DVI. I've tried connecting directly to the motherboard, but that didn't solve anything. Not that I'd expect it to since no Ryzen CPU has a integrated GPU so far. @reniat Good suggestion, I am kind of old school and was assuming that the motherboard still had a beeper (turned out it didn't). I am waiting for one. Meanwhile I am going to try to find a test PSU somewhere.
  8. Hi all, I had the honour of receiving my Dr. Zaber Sentry case yesterday and today I've taken the time to move my hardware to this new Portal case. However when I connect my screen (via DVI), the monitor turns on, but there is only a black screen. The monitor will eventually turn off (power saving kicks in). No beeps or any other codes can be observed from the motherboard, a Biostar X370GTN Racing. In my first attempts of debugging this, I've verified that the GPU (MSI Aero 1070) was still working (after all, the only thing that was changed is the case, the hardware stayed the same). I've tried with just one of the Corsair RAM sticks. I've tried resetting the CMOS per instruction, but no dice. I've even gone as for as removing everything from the case again so I could verify that the PCI Express riser wasn't the issue. I'ma bit stuck now to be honest, what else can I try?
  9. Over the past few months I've spent some time in upgrading my workstation to a custom watercooling loop. Components: Intel i7 6700K Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5-EU motherboard 32GB RAM (CORSAIR Cmk16gx4m2b3000c15r) Two GTX1080's "Founder's editions" (One by Gainward, one by MSI) equipped with a EK-FC1080 GTX - Nickel block Corsair Carbide 600C Samsung Evo 850 500GB SSD Crucial MX300 750GB Corsair CS850M PSU EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 pump 2 EK-CoolStream CE 280 radiators 4 Corsair AF140-LED Quiet Edition fans (red LEDs obviously) PrimoChill PrimoFlex™ Advanced LRT tubing (clear) with EK-ACF red fittings (10/13mm) The system is currently running on EK-Ekoolant EVO Blood RED coolant. I'm however not fully pleased with the way it looks, it seems okay on the first picture due to the longer exposure, but the brightness is a bit on the low side when actually looking at it. Does anyone have some suggestions how I can improve the lighting?
