  1. I would like to get this game but it's never on sale. WTF Microsoft? Why not? What's the matter with you? That sucks.
  2. Got the monitor and the cable is fine. Everything is working ok. :-)
  3. I got the monitor and the supplied cable is long enough and works perfectly. Relief!
  4. I know there are no versions of cables. I also know to use the DP with the Asus PG279Q monitor. But the cable supplied seems to be too short, like 3ft long. And I see a lot of complaints about 6ft or 10 ft cables not working of working only at 60Hz. Don't tell me I just spent $1000 cdn on a monitor that will not fully work because the cable is too short. Is there a 6ft cable out there that will work at 1440p/144Hz or even 165Hz? I've seen that they work up to 10Ft but they never say at what resolution of refresh rate.
  5. I've been looking for hours to find out the length of the DP cable that is supplied with the Asus PG279Q monitor that is on its way here. I'm really getting frustrated. I saw one place where it said it was only 3ft long and another one about 5ft long. 5ft would work but 3ft is way too short for my setup. So, I started looking out for a 6ft long DP cable and most of the time I see that it cannot work with 1440p/144Hz, so 165Hz would be even worse. Can someone tell me how long that stupid cable is please? I don't want to get that screen and not be able to use it, if you know what I mean. $1000 is a lot of $$$$ for me :-( And what if I get a 6ft long cable? By the way they are hard to find. WTF is it that DP is so mysterious? So weird! Can someone suggest a brand of cable that will work fine with this monitor? Don't tell me I will need to build a new compact PC to fit on my desk right beside the monitor :-(
  6. Razer laptops seem to fail right and left. It seems to affect 2014-2015 models. It seems to affect many models. They seem to have bad mosfet issues. The newer models seem to have a lot of BSODs caused by the drives. One of the drive apparently is positioned on the board in a way that it overheats and fails causing BSOD. The drive issue affects the Pro 2016 models starting at close to $4000. Way to go Razer.
  7. It makes no sense to sell a card that burns. I was going to buy one, I changerd my mind. It's a beautiful card but...and very expensive.
  8. I am not bitching about the price and 150$ is for the Home version, the pro is 250$ CDN. I don't understand that they had a free offer if you had Windows 7 or 8 and nothing if you pass from Vista to 10. They want you to buy a new machine instead. I would not buy a 150$ license on an 8 years old machine after spending 120$ to install an SSD in it. At this rate, might as well go and get a new machine. But that laptop with the SSD and Windows 10 is more than what the guy wants and needs and he is over 80 years old and cannot afford to spend too much.
  9. I will ask him if he is willing to try a Kinguin key for about 40$ hoping it will work.
  10. Will Windows 10 continue to run without activation and for how long? I had tried Windows 8 and after three months it disabled the networking. I just replaced a HDD in a friend's old Vista laptop with an SSD and Vista doen not work at all, so I installed Windows 10 home. It took only 20 minutes and everything is working great. But they want 150$ for a license key which is crazy expensive for that old a machine. So I was wondering if he keeps it as is if it would stop working on him eventually.
  11. So, what happens if you install Windows 10 and use it without the activation? Beside PERSONALIZATION everything works. Sometimes the message saying it is not activated disappears and re-appears the next day. I know it is illegal but it seems to work just fine.I did a lot of searching and I cannot find anything about that, some say it will keep working, some say it will shutdown in three months, Microsoft says nothing about that. Has anyone tried it longer than three months? I had tried with a pre release of Windows 8 and after three months it killed the networking, that was it. Some say that Windows 10 is different and will not do that. I installed it on an 8 year old laptop that had Vista on it. I replaced the HDD after it failed with an SSD and after three days of updating Vista it it was not working properly. Even Chrome cannot be installed in Vista. I decided to try a Windows 10 ISO and in 20 minutes all was installed and working fine. But they charge 150$ to activate the damned thing. It is ridiculous. As it is free for Win7 and 8 it should at least be selling for no more than 50$ and even less when you had XP or Vista and want to update.
  12. I miss the good old days of buying physical disks and being able to play locally without internet access.
  13. I do not think I was negligent. And no I did not do anything wrong and never will. So I have to maybe wait ONE month? That is what I call terrible support. My password was a mix of numbers and letters caps and not caps the whole chibang. I just don't see how it could have happened. I am trying hard to relax and forget about Steam bad support.
  14. My Steam account is dead, Steam is totally dead, they do not reply even to my ticket. I badly need some help/support/ways of reaching and getting my stuff back. I wish I could sue them. They stole five years of buying games. Totally indecent.
