  1. I'm starting to do a lot of film music editing on my macbook pro and I've decided to buy an ultrawide 2560x1080 IPS 75hz monitor with freesync. Trying to do all this then might be a bit of a struggle especially as the macbook pro I have is only a dual i5 with intel integrated. I have an old 7950 lying around so I've decided I am going to get an external GPU enclosure just to help out with powering all of this, question is which one? I don't really want to spend about £500 on the razer core or whatever it is called. I was looking at this - https://www.scan.co.uk/products/sonnet-egfx-breakaway-box-350w-thunderbolt-3-expansion-system-for-desktop-gpu-or-other-pcie-cards If you have suggestions, please help out!
  2. So I am planning on upgrading my headphones, I am looking at things such as the DT 700 Pro's but there are multiple options for impedance. For the same price I can get either 80 or 250 OHM. How large would the difference between 80 and 250 OHM in quality be is my main question? The portable amp I am looking at will be fine for both but I will also need to buy one for my desk. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nobsound-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-battery-Black/dp/B078MZYH73/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1535249185&sr=1-8&keywords=headphone+amplifier+portable
  3. How are the He4xx's for being in public? I do use busses often.
  4. I am planning on upgrading my m50x's now that I've got the rest of my audio equipment working properly. The issues I have with the M50's are how uncomfortable they are over long times and I also have a weird rattle when I move my head. One of the groups I am in on facebook recommended some massdrop ones but of course, they're timed (about 20 hours left when I write this) which is why I am making this post. So what would you all suggest? These are for gaming and my music work. Edit: Forgot to say I need to be able to travel with them and use on things such as busses. Current suggetions-
  5. I've been a bit ill lately and dealing with a lot of things, thought I'd update you all. Basically whilst the M audio mtrack was good, lately, it has been having massive issues which is what was causing my stuttering. As for the buzz I got an isolator for between the Audio interface and the monitors which have stopped that. I also swapped to the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 gen 2 and returned both M tracks (amazing customer service though).
  6. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/focusrite-scarlett-2i2-gen-2-usb-20-interface-192-khz-24-bit-2-mic-pres-2-2-analogue-i-o ended up buying this as a test. Both interfaces were M Audio Mtracks before so if the issue is still there then I am confused as hell.
  7. Was just looking at the Sound Blaster X AE-5, I do unfortunately need XLR inputs as well as phantom power but that does seem really nice.
  8. I've been reading a lot of reviews about the M track I bought and the 2nd one i tried is the same type just a less fancy version, I am wondering if it could be at fault as I am having similar issues as others in it. I will also try and get a different brand completely and see if the issue remains.
  9. I'll give it a shot, I will also test to see if my socket is grounded but I don't think that would be the issue if I have the same issue in multiple plugs?
  10. The only thing I haven't changed is the speakers, but both results in this buzz and the chances two are defective?
  11. Won't be able to get that for a day or two, but i've tried it with 3 separate PC's in 3 separate cases and I've had the same issue.
  12. Yeah it isn't the easiest to see I just tried and there's no difference between the SS and SS10.
  13. It does have a type C on the board and it goes from C-C with no adaptor.

  15. I have a M-Audio M-Track 2x2m. My BX5 speakers are then plugged into that via TRS leads and my headphones then also plug into the interface into the headphone slot. That's plugged in via Type C into the back of my PC. Sorry I thought I had added that to my parts list.
  16. I'll give it a shot but we've tried with multiple sockets in multiple rooms of this house and had the same outcome.
  17. Well the house was made by an electrician 39 years ago so I'd assume so. I'll ask him if needed.
  18. Also M50x's and I am plugging them into my Audio Interface. The BX5 speakers are plugged in Via TRS leads to this as well.
  19. Sorry fell asleep, anyway my system is - https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JamesHewitt/saved/ggpgwP Basically, I get a massive buzz through my headphones whenever I plug them in at the same time as my BX5 speakers. This buzz then changes depending on things such as load of the PC. I've tried it in three different PC's in two separate rooms with two different audio interfaces + TRS leads. http://community.m-audio.com/m-audio/topics/i-have-a-serious-issue-with-my-audio Here's a more detailed explanation plus someone with the same issue. I've tried things such as a grounded extension chord as well. Any help again would be amazing, thank you! @kb5zue @Pangea2017 @Inx @Dan1
  20. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00T7BYPDG/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza Think that would work? Can't find anything about if it's pure or not.
  21. Hopefully, a UPS will manage to sort the electrical noise I am getting when my headphones are plugged into my audio interface. unfortunately, I don't know anything about UPS' and I could do with some help. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00T7BYPDG/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza Would that do? Thanks for any help, James.
