Hello guys, I need help for choosing a new laptop for my daily drive. Needs: Requirements: Suitable for programming (Python, Docker/Podman, Vue, VSCode, WebDev) VM capabilities Portability is a big plus for commuting between various locations, so a lightweight laptop Good battery life that can last a day without recharge Preferably Linux Compatible ( i try to avoid windows if i can, and Mac is a no go ) Don't need touchscreens If possible, a 16:10 aspect ratio 14" would be ideal, but i'm open for either 13", or 15.6" Goal: A Laptop that is lightweight, that i can use for web dev and programming, with a great battery life I don't really mind about Ports and audio jacks. I'm fine to use dongles, because i rarely use any peripherals Budgets: around Rp. 25.000.000~ ( around $1500 ) Location: Indonesia ( Jakarta ) Current Considerations: 1. Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 11 I7 1365u Gen 13Th 32GB 1TB 2. LENOVO THINKPAD Z13 OLED TOUCH RYZEN 7 PRO 6860Z 32GB 1TSSD RX680M W11 3. Lenovo ThinkPad T14 G4-A8ID 4. Dell XPS is out of budget, to expensive 5. Razer Blade is also expensive here i cant think any other laptops at the moment. Dear Friends, I have a small office with 8 - 10 members working on the same place with a 50Mbps Download and 15Mbps-ish Upload that are distributed with the ISP basic modem/wifi router combo ( Huwawei EG8141A5 ). We are experiencing a slow connection when multiple devices joins the network, a lot of packet drops and / or a slow transmit issue when all of us using the network. Ping: 68.904 ms Testing download speed................................................................................ Download: 18.51 Mbit/s Testing upload speed...................................................................................................... Upload: 13.75 Mbit/s Mind you that the result of the test is conducted with all of the member currently working ( Browsing for footage such as videos, images, emails, music streaming, etc ) When some of us are in the middle of online meetings, we experiences a bad call quality such as pixelated video / bad voice quality through out the meetings. Currently we have 8 - 10 Laptops that are connected via WiFi ( 2.4 Ghz ), plus mobile phones ( another 8 - 10 ) , in total 20+ devices that are connected simultaneously. Do you have any suggestions on Wifi Router that are suited for this type of usages? Currently i have TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 Wifi Router TpLink Archer C80 C 80 / TP-Link Archer C7 TPLink AC1750 WiFi Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router in mind. The plan is to plug the new device , and turn of the wifi from the modem/wifi combo, and transmit the wifi from the new Wifi device ( TP-Link ) Thank you in Advanced. Hello, I'm planning on making my own server for my business. i might have a lot dialy transaction, because i sell a lot of stuff. planning on having 2 client to access the server. gonna using ms sql server, because i built the system using c#. and what about raid, so i can backup my files, etc any good sugestions? for pricing, well, try to make it under $2000, because its a small server, i dont need anything fancy.

Hello, I'm Timothy Sorry in advance for bad English i have win 10 ver 1607 (OS Build14393.0) i can run everything smoothly, such as playing games, browsing, rendering, without trouble, but something odd happened. my computer at idle, my task manager performance tab only show static data, and didnt refresh its information, until i click the cpu tab, or the other tab, then it refreshed, and get static again. i've already set the update speed from low to high, and didnt notice any diffrence. this bothers me a lot. if you need more information please do tell me and i will provide it worth mentioning: its a fresh instalation of windows, got a few steam games and other games installed, installed driver booster and uninstall it because i'm to lazy to install drivers manualy, installed CAM app to monitor my hardware, and somehow the overlay didnt show up, even caused overwatch to crash, and the tuning tab on CAM, occasionally didnt show up.(Really weird) installed CPU-Z and HWMonitor SPECS: CPU: Core i7-6700CPU RAM: 16GB VGA: Galax EXOC GTX 1070 8GB Dual Fan HDD: WDC Blue 1TB SSD:(where my windows installed) ADATA SP580

@Freezanator hello :D, i've bought the part and assemble it. spending 1 straight hour terified because it wont turn on, because what i thought to be a power button, are the restart button. so, yeah,its done, but a few parts arent available at that moment, so got Galax 1070 exoc editon, instead of zotac(cost a bit more) have to wait for 2 hours for the motherboard to be available, so now its up and running. can play a lot of games with highest setting smoothly on a 1440x900 screen. soon to be upgraded to 1920 x 1080 but a have a few question. i encountered a few odd things with my windows 10. whenever i open task manager, on the performance tab, it doesnt refresh eventhough i set the update speed to be high. it only refresh when i click it. its kinda stuck, until i click one of them, then the number changed, and stuck again. second, whenever i closed my task manager, it freezed and not responding. and a few other apps do the same thing. yet i can play smoothly any idea? i've already done sfc/scannow, and nothings wrong with my windows.

@herman mcpootis well, i cant afford a corei7, too expensive, and i only occasionaly edit and render things, so i think it wont bother me much what kind of ssd do you recomend? if i'm not going to play on a 1440p or higher, does 1060 enough? or should i stick with 1070, for futureprofing?
