  1. Hello, I have a great idea for a Christmas gift for the wife with a digital picture frame containing all our pictures and the 1 video of the proposal playing randomly. I've read several products and reviews on Amazon, but they do not really explain too well on what I'm wanting to do with it. Some have to be set to video mode or picture mode it seemed. Looking for a decent frame. So far I've only got around maybe 20 photos of us I plan on using as well as the 20-second video clip. I'll add more pictures or possibly video as life goes on though. Thanks in advance.
  2. ha that can easily be done then. thanks for it. i think i may have found a monitor then
  3. That is pretty sexy i have to say but rather expensive. i'll have to save a bit more to get this one. the 24" isn't to shabby
  4. Does FreeSync even matter if i purchased an nvidia card? I play a pretty large genre of games if that matters.
  5. Hello all. I've recently purchased a new EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Superclocked ACX 3.0 Edition 8GB for my system and wanted a quality monitor to match what it can do. I've read around that 144hz is just the tits. I've been playing on a Hannspree I got from Best Buy several years ago. I'd like to get a 1440p monitor but if the price is right i can settle for 1080p again as long as the stats are there. So far i've found: 1080p but not a bad price https://www.amazon.com/Acer-GN246HL-Bbid-24-Inch-Display/dp/B00KO4518I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483564714&sr=8-1&keywords=gn246hl Everything i want but the price is nuts after i saved to buy a great card. https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-2560x1440-Tournaments-Professional-XL2730/dp/B01H5KKVME/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483566048&sr=1-6&keywords=1440p+monitor+144hz Any other suggestions? i would prefer to buy from Amazon because prime is great.
  6. Oh yea sure! I just want the system to last a good 5-8 years
  7. Yea, thank you very much. I will as soon as i place the order once this Lenovo is refunded. Balanced Specs?
  8. Looks great thank you! My friend has a laptop from them and loves it.
  9. I do want a prebuilt. i've never built a system before and do not really have much interest in it. no need to webcam, keyboard, or mouse. As for brand? Doesn't matter to me as long as they have good support in case something happens. i've owned serval Dell systems over the years and my most recent (7 years) is an ibuypower laptop which has served me faithfully.
  10. Hello everyone, I recently posted about a Lenovo Y910 a few weeks ago. The computer came in and i set it up only to notice an issue on the LCD screen. there is a "dent" on the top (see picture) that causes discoloration and another area (see 2nd picture) that does the same. I've decided to return the system since there isn't a tech around my small town to repair it. I'm not to interested in building a system for myself, but would like one with roughly the same specs. I would like an SD card reader on the system itself since I use it quite often and a disk drive. Specs: Processor 6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700 Processor (3.40GHz 8MB) Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Memory 16.0GB DDR4 Hard Drive 2TB 7200 RPM+256GB PCIe SSD Network Card 802.11 AC(2x2) Budget is $2000 before a monitor.
  11. Thanks for the info. Seems a better buy. I am not to worried about the subwoofer and like you said I can add one later.
  12. I'd like to stay under $150. The room is rather small, but i do have room on my stand for some smallish speakers.
  13. First off, I have zero clue what to look for in a sound bar. I have a 60" Samsung TV with all the appropriate outputs like optical and HDMI. The tv fires sound at the wall which sucks 99% of the time. It doesn't have to be mind-blowingly loud, just quality audio for myself and the female to enjoy movies and games better. I've always been a fan of Razer and came across their sound bar on Amazon. It has some pretty nice reviews and the price does not seem to bad to me, but like I said I have no clue about any audio equipment. I would, however like someone that would work off of just 1 remote. Razer Leviathan via Amazon Thanks in advance.
  14. This is probably going to get flamed but i found some decent laptops at Staples for around your $400 price tag. They do come with a lot of filler apps though you probably won't need. http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-3558-laptop/fncwc008sb It's a barebones laptop but if you're going to be just doing school work on it this would be nice, at $250 you can even buy Microsoft Word for Students.
